                      CLARA'S POV

I lay tiredly on my bed, wondering if Anna had woken up or not. We were given today off as the hospital was busy sorting out exams and results for Ryan's nurse. Aghc was choosing his nurse, so we couldn't afford any mistakes; otherwise, the stakeholders in Rd, who hated aghc, would seize the opportunity.

Diana had already texted about how excellently her exams had gone. I had spent my day watching Ryan's surgery on YouTube. His face was covered with the mask, but how could he still look so good?

Just then, Diana threw a bag into my room and then jumped in through the window. "What are you doing here? What is this? I thought Matron Linda called you to help her," I said.

"I snuck out," she said.

"Why?"

"To take you on a date," she replied with a grin.

"What?!" I exclaimed, and she smiled, dragging me over and starting to arrange my hair.

"I'm not interested," I protested.

"You must be," she said.

"Hey!"

"Shhhh," she whispered, cutting me off. I knew there was no point in protesting, so I let her do my hair and put on very faint makeup—just lip gloss, literally.

She brought out a pretty white gown, and I just laughed. She keeps trying to set me up. "What is the point? Nobody can like me; have you ever seen anybody pursue me all my life? You just want to embarrass us," I complained.

"That's not true. It's all in your head, Clara. You are very kind and lovable," she said.

"But—"

"It's by force," she said.

I decided to shut up and follow her; at least there would be free food.

Finally, we arrived at Unique, but I felt so shy, not wanting to continue. This was the first date of my life, and it was unplanned.

Each time she tried rushing back to the hospital, I ran after her. Finally, she got frustrated. "Clara, stop," she said, dragging me back to the restaurant.

"But—"

"Come on, Clara. Stop. He won't bite. You always said you wanted to have a boyfriend too, right? This is the first step. Do you even know who you are going to meet? It's Doctor Tony. He's the best surgeon in Rd hospitals—who do you think was RD's surgeon all the while Ryan  was in New York? He's the only son of the Maravellas; they are as wealthy as the Grandes. He's not our class, Clara. He saw your picture in my boyfriend's phone and just liked you; he had been asking about you. He saw you at your worst; it was a very horrible video, but he still liked you. Just be free; be yourself; you are very lovable, Clara, and I won't stop until I prove that to you," she said.

I gently nodded. She left, and I saw my neighbor Tyler coming with his girlfriend.

"Wait, Clara David—is this you?" he shouted.

"The boyfriend snatcher is looking pretty," Cindy said, taking Tyler's arm.

"Hey, Cinderella, you keep forgetting that it was I who told Tyler to date you. I can also tell him to leave you," I said.

"No, I'm just kidding, unnie," she said, running over to hug me instead.

"Come on, let's go in," Tyler said.

"No, no, wait. I changed my mind; I'm going home," I said, then ran off, but Tyler dragged me back by my jacket.

"What are you doing?" I said in embarrassment.

"It's been a long time since we spent time together; let's have lunch," he said, and Cinderella took my hand.

"No, no, I'm not hungry. Let me—"

They both dragged me into the restaurant, and just as we were about to walk in, a cute guy walked out. You should have seen him—so hot. Cindy pinched me, signaling me, Did I see what she saw?

He looked at me quietly. I also looked at him; he was so handsome, God. He looked weirdly calm, quiet, and innocent but had striking blue eyes and was just so fine. He looked so wealthy too.

"You must be Clara," he said.

I nodded. "I am," I replied.

"Clara David," Cindy added, blushing.

"Nice meeting you. I'm Tony, Doctor Tony from Rd," he said, then stretched out his hand.

I and Cinderella hastily bowed, dragging Tyler down with us.

"Oh," he replied, then withdrew his hand and bowed to us as well.

"Well, uhmmm Clara—"

"Well, we were just leaving," I replied hastily.

"Hey, we just came," Cindy shouted. I used my hand to cover her mouth and laughed in embarrassment.

I am finished.

I gently took her hand, as well as that of Tyler, then I bowed again, after which we turned to leave.

Is Diana stupid? This guy is obviously not my class; is she trying to embarrass me?

"Well, Clara—it's me. I'm the one you came to meet," he said. His voice was so soft and calm—he was obviously a nice person.

"Well—"

"I don't know why you want to go back now, but since you are here, why not just give me a chance? You see, I really want to talk to you," he said.

He waited for my reply for so long that it got awkward—he gently scratched his hair.

"Oh, well," I started coughing.

Tyler and Cindy carefully pushed me into him. What the hell— I glared at them.

Tony smiled. "Let's go," he said, and I nodded, and we walked into the restaurant.

I was so shocked when I saw that cute guy I had insulted talking with Ethan. My eyes widened, and we were almost at the table.

He sat partly by the table while Ethan stood, facing him—though Ethan's face was bowed most of the time. Ethan showed him some stuff in a file and explained whatever to him, being very careful not to touch him while he nodded and asked questions.

He wore white all through, then a white face cap—is he a criminal in hiding or something? Always hiding his face.

Now that I notice it, this guy is really good looking; is it even normal to look this good? I had never seen anyone half as handsome as he was. Then the way he dressed—sexy.

His skin glowed radiantly in the white he wore, and he has the finest, rarest green eyes.

If only his character was not so annoying—hmph.

But what do I do now? If he sees me, I'm dead. Diana said I should avoid him; said he was calm yesterday because he didn't want attention on him. She wouldn't even tell me who he was.

"That's where I'm sitting," Tony said when he noticed I was looking at that table.

"Huh?!" was what escaped my mouth.

"Is anything wrong?" he said.

"Hey, Clara!" Ethan shouted. He is Diana's boyfriend.

That annoying guy turned at the same time.
