CLARA'S POV
I wore my white pajamas and fell on my bed in a mature manner. After all the embarrassment I suffered at the hands of the nurses today, I've decided to put effort into being more put together and organized.
My transformation would shock Sir Ryan.
I breathed out sadly then fell on my bed. I feel sad, though am trying to hide it.
I was jealous when Anna called Ryan, ever since then I felt a knot in my chest, I feel guilty and sad at the realization that I like Ryan. I fell before I could stop myself.
I wiped my tears then exhaled deeply. No wonder, I have so much need for him.
But I would stop this, I would control it, I won't let it grow.
Just then, I heard the sound of a piano. I didn't even realize when my legs carried me out of my room and up to his.
The very same stairs he warned me never to climb.
I sat down quietly at his door.
I hope he doesn't catch me.
Listening to the music made me so happy.
Suddenly, the door opened, and my eyes widened in shock. I turned, and there he was—Ryan—sitting by his piano table, staring directly at me.
I hastily bowed. He dropped the remote exhaling tiredly.
"Are you Clara, or Clara's ghost?" he asked.
I smiled nervously and looked down.
"Clara, sir. I'm sorry," I whispered, trying to run off.
"The door will close in two minutes," he said.
I grinned happily and rushed into his room. Bowing again, I carefully sat on his bed.
"Is there a song you like?" he asked, and I blushed before nodding .
"'Letter of Apology' by John Hart," I said softly.
He nodded. "Come here."
I stood up and moved closer until I stood in front of him. He took my hand, and I felt an electric rush shoot through me.
Ryan guided me to sit on the chair in front of the piano table. I sat quietly, gazing into his mesmerizing eyes.
🎵 You always smile so bright, when you smile at me
🎵 I was carried away, yes, I was carried away
He sang softly, starting from my favorite verse.
I smiled
🎵 Then when you call my phone line and tell me, 'John, have a good night's sleep'
🎵 I was carried away, yes, I was carried away
He glanced at me as he sang, and I blushed hard.
🎵 I apologize for loving you like a fool
🎵 A poor man who has nothing to offer you
🎵 I apologize for wanting you every day
🎵 Baby, I was just carried away
He stopped and looked at me. I smiled brightly, feeling warmth bloom in my chest.
"Thank you," I whispered.
He stood from the piano.
"Not yet, baby. You?" he said suddenly. I turned to see him answering a call.
I watched him as he lay back on his bed. Relaxing on the pillow, bathed in the soft blue light, he looked incredibly attractive.
I knew that was my cue to leave, but .... Can i stay.,
I watched him quietly as he spoke on call unaware of my presence, until I scolded myself then quietly slipped out of the room.
I have a feeling Sir Ryan doesn't hate me anymore— God please, I hope so

Early the next morning, Ryan left for the hospital without me. I thought we had bonded...
When I arrived, he was already in the surgery division. It looked like he wanted to be alone.
I stood by the window, watching him quietly study his patients. They all looked so hopeless.
Feeling out of place, I walked away and headed to the kids' section, where I made a new friend. I helped her take care of the children.
DOCTOR STEVEN
Ryan thinks he's smart. His nurse thinks she's smart. But I am smarter.
He will undoubtedly choose the surgery division, believing he can revive those patients.
The truth? I believe he might actually succeed—because he's Ryan.
That's why I removed their health records. They're all missing. No surgeon can operate without knowing a patient's history or prior treatments.
Ryan is walking straight into a trap.
Once he signs the contract, he'll waste precious time searching for their health records while his patients die one after another.
I laughed to myself. I can't wait.
Go on, Ryan. Sign those papers. You'll never find their health records.
RYAN'S POV
I walked into the department, my chest tightening at the sight of the patients.
I can't believe someone would stoop so low as to hurt innocent people just to get at me.
As I passed by, a child tugged on my jacket.
"Sir, please wake my mommy. She's been sleeping for so long. Please wake her up," the child begged, tears streaming down her small face.
If I don't take over this division, everyone here is going to die. I'd rather save ten than lose twenty innocent souls.
I knelt to the child's level and nodded.
"I'll save your mom. She'll be my first patient, and I promise, I'll save her," I said gently.
The child wiped her tears and looked at me with hope.
"Thank you so much," she whispered, sitting back down and gazing at her mother.
If I lose even one patient, it'll create a global scandal. That's why I must revive them all.
But first, I need their health records.
CLARA'S POV
"I'm Louisa," the nurse said with a warm smile.
"Clara," I replied, returning her smile.
"Thank you so much for your help," she said.
"I love kids," I replied.
"I'm so glad I made a friend. I had no one to celebrate my birthday with," she said with a soft laugh.
"Happy birthday," I said, laughing with her.
"Wait—Clara David? Ryan's nurse?" she asked suddenly.
I nodded.
"I've been looking for you. Please, tell Sir Ryan not to choose the surgery division," she said urgently.
"Don't worry; he's an excellent surgeon," I reassured her.
"No matter how skilled he is, he can't treat what he doesn't know. All those patients— their health records are missing. It's a trap," she said, her voice shaking.
Panic seized me, and I turned to run.
I sprinted as fast as my legs could carry me, shouting into the halls.
"No, Sir Ryan! Please don't sign!"
Please drop a vote—it means so much. Thank you! ☺️
