ANNA'S POV

I've been in a coma for two years now. I don't even know if I'll ever wake up. All I see is darkness. I hear them, but they can't hear me.

But today... I saw a little light. It's funny. After being in here for close to three years, this is my first time seeing light.

Because someone walked in. Someone touched me. Someone is talking to me right now. She seems like someone who carries sparkle wherever she goes.

All the while I've been in a coma, I've heard people talk, but I never listened. But today... I want to listen to her.

                     CLARA'S POV

I closed the door to the hospital room, my heart racing. My hands were on my chest. I am literally risking my life by being in here.

I turned and I was amazed by the beautiful lady on the bed. She was dressed in a white gown, she had red lipstick on her lips.

Her room didn't look like a hospital room. It was so beautiful. I wish I could be in this kind of coma.

She didn't even look like she was in a coma. She looked like Sleeping Beauty.

I smiled, then walked over, sitting beside her.

You're probably wondering who I am. My name is Clara. I've been a junior nurse for... well, I've been a junior nurse forever. They won't promote me. They say I'm crazy. Useless.

I came in really early today. I wanted to see what was hidden on this third floor. I cracked the code from my mother's journal. She worked here too.

I smiled, Just looking at her made me happy.

I heard people in comas can hear. I wonder if she can hear me. I wonder who she is.

"Unnie, can you hear me?"

I giggled. "Well, I guess you can't reply. You're in a coma. But it's okay. I'll talk, you listen."

"My name is Clara. I'm the clumsiest nurse in this hospital. I never seem to get anything right. But you need to see me. I think I'm very hot."

"No doctor wants to work with me. They say I bring bad luck. So, I learn from my books and the internet. I've never been in an actual surgery."

I smiled, consoling myself.

"Unnie, you're very beautiful, so from today, I'll call you my Sleeping Beauty. I don't have a lot of friends in this hospital, so you're my friend now. I promise to always check on you, update you, and for sure, I'll never let anyone harm you."

I patted her long black hair with a smile.

"Bestie, bestie, I've got the latest gossip. Ryan is coming back to Korea today. Everyone is so excited."

"Though I've never seen him, he's my idol"

"How can I see him, though? It's so difficult to find a picture of him online. I think only people who've worked with him have seen him in real life."

"You know, unnie, I heard that his identity is hidden from the public for security reasons. Because he's so wealthy, he's a multi-millionaire."

"Some nurses who saw him said he's so handsome." I blushed dreamily.

"Unnie, more than being handsome, he's so talented. He's the best surgeon in Korea, the pride of Korea."

"They say if he can't save you, no one can. He's world-rated and on his way to becoming the best surgeon in the world."

"How can he be so young and yet so talented?"

"I became motivated to become a great nurse the moment I heard about him"

"If I see him today, I'd happily die tomorrow." I smiled happily.

"Too bad, I don't know if I'll ever get to see him. Even going to RD Hospital is like an impossible dream for me. I've never been sent there. Well, I'm too clumsy to be sent there anyway."

Sigh... I slouched a little, feeling defeated.

ANNA'S POV

Ryan is coming back. Coming back to meet me like this. The same way he met me two years ago.

Clara... meeting you today has proven to me that I am still alive. I already like you so much.

I wish I could tell you that I'm listening. Please, keep talking. I feel like I've known you forever.
