I saw Diana running into the operating room with a bag of blood.

"What's going on?" I asked.

"The president's daughter. We're in trouble," she said, her voice trembling.

"What—?"

She took a deep breath. "Dr. Tony scheduled the surgery, but he's nowhere to be found."

My mouth fell open. "What? Alison!"

"Yes! She's just a kid. Imagine the president's daughter dying in our hospital while waiting for surgery. We would never escape the fallout. We're doomed," she said, panic etched on her face.

"Have you called Dr. Tim?"

"You know he's not that skilled. He'd kill her. He said he can't operate on someone else's patient," she said.

"So?"

"Ryan is our only hope right now. But he isn't taking his calls, and I don't know if he'll show up. We have less than an hour before this surgery becomes impossible," she said

"Calm down. Everything will be fine," I said, trying to reassure her.

"Ryan, please, please—I beg you in the name of whatever you love, come and help us. If Anna were here, we wouldn't be in this mess," Diana pleaded almost in tears as she tried calling Ryan again, but he still didn't answer.

She handed me Anna's key card and then rushed off with the blood.

The entire hospital was in chaos. Reporters crowded outside. AGHC was surrounded, and the tension was palpable. Major shareholders gathered, watching the surgery room through the glass wall.

The president's family sat quietly, praying as they observed the scene from the same glass wall.

Inside the operating room, Diana and the other staff moved around nervously, trying to look busy while stalling for time. Their fear was written all over their faces.

"God, Dr. Tony, where are you?" I muttered under my breath.

"I think Ryan is here!" someone exclaimed.

"Aghc is  being surrounded by security. It has to be Mr. Dervantes' son,"  a  nurse whispered.

"I pray so," another replied.

A doctor walked into the operating room, His presence sent a wave of relief through the crowd.

I hurried up the stairs along with other nurses rushing to catch a glimpse. It felt like the entire hospital wanted to witness his surgery, even the sick patients.

The shareholders sat in anticipation, their eyes glued to the glass.

Finally, Ryan walked into the room. The crowd surged, making it nearly impossible for me to see him properly.

"Where is her record?" Ryan's deep, commanding voice came through the audio system in the room.

Diana handed him a file

His voice and accent were so smooth and magnetic that I couldn't help but blush.

Ryan sat down and silently read through the file. I strained to get a better view of him, at least to see his face, but the crowd was too thick.

"Sir, we have less than forty minutes," Diana said.

"Get her complete record. She's had three surgeries—why did you leave out the details?" he said sharply.

"Sorry, sir," Diana replied, rushing off to retrieve the file.

Ryan seems  so strict in real life.

When Diana returned, she handed him the missing files.

The room was filled with tension. Everyone watched Ryan closely as he read the files carefully. Even watching him go through paperwork felt captivating.

"Thirty minutes left," Diana muttered after checking the clock.

Ryan stood, ready for surgery. Nurses and assistants scrambled to their positions, leaving the most competent staff closest to him.

"I won't stay here for more than fifteen minutes," Ryan said coldly.

"Yes, sir," they replied in unison.

"Scalpel," he said, and Diana handed it to him.

Ryan worked with such precision and speed that it sent chills down my spine.

"Diana, blood," he ordered, his voice steady, and she promptly complied.

"Vascular clamps," he said next, and a male nurse handed them over.

"Thank you," Ryan said.

The crowd outside erupted in cheers and applause. Even some of the staff in the observation room fainted in relief.

"Working with him just makes you sharper and faster. You're so lucky, Clara," a nurse whispered to me, giving me a gentle tap on the back.

Ryan removed his gloves and washed his hands.

"Check the patient at 8:00 a.m. tomorrow," Diana instructed as the shareholders clapped instinctively.

"He still has fifteen minutes left," someone murmured in amazement.

"Oh my God, he really is the God of surgery," another added.

Ryan removed his face mask and exited the room through the back door, brushing his hair back as he walked. He clearly disliked the spotlight and avoided attention, yet his stride was so captivating it was impossible not to watch him.

Outside, Dr. Tim faced the reporters, boasting about the surgery as if he had performed it himself. Diana stood nearby, whispering details of the procedure to him so he wouldn't embarrass himself.

The reporters hung on his every word, while the staff slowly dispersed.

I walked down the hallway, my mind drifting back to Anna.

I hurried to her room, and there she was, lying on her bed with no visible improvement. My heart sank as I sat beside her.

"Miss Anna," I whispered, hoping for a sign, even the slightest movement. But nothing happened.

I wiped a stray tear from my cheek. "It's fine, Anna. You'll be fine."

Glancing up, I noticed the drip was different. Why do they keep doing this?

I removed it and threw it out of the window. Taking a new, proper drip, I carefully hung it up. Just as I was adjusting it, the door shook.

My heart plummeted. What now?

I tried to sneak under the bed, but it was crammed with stuff. Desperately, I put on a face mask.

The door opened, and Daniella walked in.

"Nurse D," she said.

I bowed, then tried to hastily walk out, but she grabbed my hand.

"But Nurse D always wears her wedding ring. Who are you?" she asked suspiciously.

I pushed her and bolted out of the room.

"Tim, stop her! It's the drip changer. Call the guards! She tried to kill Anna!" Daniella screamed behind me.

Tears blurred my vision as I ran. Doctor Tim and about twenty guards chased after me.

Why did she say that? I didn't try to kill Anna!

If they catch me, I'll be killed. my mother too

God, please save me!
