CLARA'S POV
Sir Ryan drove off angrily. His mood was a mess.
If Liam really wants me, then fine—I'll do it.
I can't stand seeing Ryan this bothered.
Just then, his dad called. He sent the call to the car speaker.
"So—"
"He's not interested," Ryan cut in coldly.
"I knew it," his dad said harshly. "I knew you'd fail me, Ryan. That's all you ever do. Liam is your age mate. If you can't handle something this simple, what exactly can you do?"
I felt bad hearing that.
Ryan stayed quiet, eyes on the road, his jaw clenched.
"Josephine! Where's that useless woman?!" his dad barked.
That's when Ryan snapped. He stopped the car abruptly, ending the call.
He scoffed and just stared out the windshield, jaw tight with pain.
"Sir Ryan, I'll do it," I whispered quickly. The words came out before I could even think.
I just... I can't watch him hurt. Something's wrong with me.
He turned to me.
"What?"
"What Liam wants," I said again.
"Do you even know what Liam wants? Do you think he just wants you to deliver some files?" he asked, voice sharp.
"I know," I whispered.
"And you want to do it?"
I nodded. "It's nothing," I said.
He scoffed softly, then drove off again—this time, even more irritated.

When we got home, he went straight to his room. I walked to mine, but after a while, he knocked on my door and came in, holding the contract files.
"I want to call Liam. Let him know your decision," he said.
"Sure, sir."
"But Clara... are you doing this for me?" he asked.
"Not really, sir. I actually have a crush on him," I lied with a smile. "So I'm happy to do it."
He exhaled and nodded.
Ryan, if you're going to stop me, stop me because you're jealous or because you like me—even if it's just a little. Not because it's the right thing to do.
He brushed his hair back and handed me the file.
"Investors are given three days to sign. It's contractual—so they can't claim they were pressured. One file per day. Now you know why Liam wants you for three days."
I nodded.
"Liam's a renowned Casanova. Make sure you're protected, no matter what."
"I understand," I said.
"I'll call him," he added, then left.
I smiled, then quietly wiped my tears.
It hurts... Ryan couldn't even ask me to stay.
I finally understood—he doesn't have the slightest feeling for me.

RYAN' S POV
I can't believe I went to her room to talk her out of it.
Thank God she said she has a crush on him.
That settles it. She wants this.
There's no point stopping her—I'd only look like I'm standing in the way of her progress.
Still... I always knew Clara had this carefree, unpredictable side. I mean, I saw her reading a book titled "How to Make Sex Fun" in public.
And that date with Tony? Three other guys in the restaurant seemed to know her too.
But I never thought she'd jump into Liam's bed this quickly.
