It's LeviOsa, not LeviosAR

Sera was getting excited, but also a little sad. Halloween was approaching quickly, and she knew that this was the time of her parents’ deaths. But luckily, no one brought it up to her. On the day of Halloween, Sera tried to remain calm, pretending to be enthusiastic.

Luckily, she had Charms class to distract her. Her first-year class was very excited, because they were going to learn how to make things fly. They all paid very close attention to Professor Flitwick, who led the class.

“Now, today, we’re going to learn how to make objects fly,” said Professor Flitwick. “Now. Does everyone have their feathers ready? Good. Now, let's just practice the wrist movement, okay? Repeat after me: swish-and-flick!”

“Swish-and-flick!” everyone repeated, doing the wrist movement.

“Excellent! And remember the spell: Wingardium Leviosa. Go ahead, try it!”

Everyone picked up their wands again and began saying the spell. Hermione had done nothing so far. Sera could hear her scolding Ron for saying the spell wrong.

“Stop, stop, stop. You’re going to take someone's eye out. And, besides! It's LeviOsa. Not LeviosAR.”

Ron shoved his wand away, clearly not amused with Hermione’s antics.

“You do it, then, if you're so clever. Go on.”

Hermione picked up her and and aimed it at the feather.

“Wingardium LeviOsa.”

And at once, her feather slowly rose in the air. Slowly, everyone stopped saying their spell. Hermione looked quite proud of herself and even Professor Flitwick looked amazed that a first-year student got it on their first try.

“Oh well done! See here, everyone! Miss Granger’s done it!”

Ron was not amused after that.

“It’s LeviOsa. Not LeviosAR,” Ron mimicked as they made their way to their next class. In a normal voice, he added, “She’s a nightmare, honestly! No wonder she hasn’t got very many friends!”

Someone pushed past Sera. The person that kept their head down was Hermione. Her heart sank. She knew that Hermione had been crying.

“Ithink that she heard you,” said Harry quietly.

“You prat, Ronald!” Sera scolded furiously. “Now look what you’ve done!”

And with that, Sera began to go after her. Harry called after his sister.

“Hey, we’ve got Astronomy next with Professor Sinistra! She doesn’t like it when we’re late, y'know?”

Sera ignored him. She was more worried about Hermione than her classes at the moment. She finally found her on the second-floor corridor where the bathroom was. She walked in to hear her crying. Trying to be cautious, she knocked on the stall door.

“Go away!” she demanded.

“Please, Hermione,” Sera pleaded desperately. “I know what Ron said wasn’t true!”

“Yes, it is true. He’s right, I don’t have any friends. I know that I’m a know-it-all.”

“Hermione, you are a know-it-all, I’ll admit it. But you’re a good know-it-all. You can do things that no other first-year can do. Ron’s just jealous, Hermione.”

Hermione was silent on the other end. Sera finally heard shuffling noises from the other end of the stall. The lock clicked and she allowed sera to come inside before locking the door and sliding back down to the ground again.
