"What do you suppose Dean sees in her? Ginny, I mean?" Ron asked Harry. The youngest Potter twin was looking through his beloved Marauder's Map that the Weasley twins had lent him when he was in his third year. Ever since then, it had been incredibly useful for him.
"Well, what do you think she sees in him?" he shot back.
"Dean, you mean? Oh, he's bloody brilliant," Ron gushed, smiling to himself.
Harry stared at his friend, alarmed. "Brilliant? You just said, not five hours ago, that he was a slick git for snogging your sister."
Ron grumped and shrugged his shoulders. "Yeah, well. He was running his hands all over my sister, wasn't he? I certainly didn't like the way he was doing that. Something just snaps inside of you, and you've got to hate that for him at some point, y'know? On some degree."
"Yeah, I suppose. . . ."
"So remember that bloke, Austin Milos? The bloke who's friends with that Cormac McLaggen?"
"The bloke who showed up with Zacharias Smith during Dumbledore's Army last year? Yeah. I still don't understand why he decided to join the D.A., though, if he all he was going to criticize us all the time, with Zacharias?"
"Well, apparently, he keeps trying to flirt with your sister during the Quidditch tryouts."
Anger boiled in Harry's stomach. He knew that there was no way that his sister, the lovely Seraphina Potter, would fall for a bloke like Austin Milos. She was too smart for that. Plus, he figured out that his sister would have fallen for Durante Knightley by now. He's seen how close they had grown over the past few years, and he's finally learned to accept their relationship.
"I wonder what Austin sees in her. Y'know, your sister?"
"I dunno," Harry admitted guiltily. "My sister is smart, funny, and attractive. . . ." He trailed off.
Ron sounded shocked. "Attractive?"
"She has nice, y'know, skin, I guess."
Ron was mortified. "Skin? Are you telling me that the reason Austin Milos had fallen for your sister is because of her skin?"
"No! I mean, I'm just saying, it could be a contributing factor. That's all."
"Hermione's got nice skin," Ron unexpectedly blurted out. "Wouldn't you say? As skin goes, I mean."
"I've never really thought about it," Harry admitted. "But I guess, yeah. Very nice skin."
"So do you think that's why Dante has fallen for your sister? It's because of her skin?"
"Most likely, yeah. There's no doubt about it. I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case." He paused, feeling awkward. "Well, I — I guess that I'm going to bed, now. Good night."
"Well . . . . good night, I guess."

October 31st was the first Slug Club party. Of course, Sera considered going. But when she remembered that the 31st of October was the day her parents had died, she had second guesses.
She found herself crying as she remembered the day her parents died. Sure, she didn't even remember that day. But she still found it disturbing for her. But finally, she knew that she should go. Professor Slughorn was expecting her to be there, so she might as well go there to please him.
She finally arrived as dessert began to come around. Professor Slughorn turned to see who had entered the room, and he brightened. He didn't even seem to notice the tears that stained her cheeks. She gave the Potions teacher a weak smile in return.
"Ah! Miss Potter! I was beginning to worry about you! You've arrived just in time for dessert. That is, if Mr. Belby left any for you."
Hermione immediately noticed that something was up with Sera. And she immediately realized what day it was. She leaned in towards her brother, and Dante, who was also with them, and spoke in a low voice.
"Look at her eyes — she's been crying all day."
"Do you know why?" Harry asked at once. "Did somebody break my sister's heart?"
"Harry, you idiot! Do you not remember what day it is?"
Harry blinked at her. "It's October 31st, of course. Am I missing anything?"
"Harry, you idiot! It's the day that your parents died. Your sister has every right to be upset today!"
"Sorry I'm late," Sera apologized as she began to move to the empty chair that had been left for her.
Just as she had reached the table, however, Dante sprang to his feet. The sudden action had taken Sera aback. The two teens stared at each other, both red in the face with embarrassment. Harry smirked at the way Dante had reacted around his sister.
Finally, Dante slowly sat back down, avoiding everyone's gaze. When he looked next to Harry, he noticed that the youngest Potter smirked at him. He furrowed his eyebrows in confusion.
"What?" Dante snapped.
Harry shrugged in return. "Nothing."
The youngest Potter twin knew that Dante's crush on his sister was obvious. He was sure that Dante was well aware of his own feelings towards Sera, he just decided to be the best little brother and decided to not embarrass him in front of the entire party table .
