Sera and Hermione used their time-turners shortly after breakfast so that they could get to Divinations while their present selves went to Ancient Runes. They made their way quietly to the desk that Ron, Harry, and Dante shared. They had arrived just as Professor Trelawney began to explain what they were going to be practicing this semester.
"Hello. I am Professor Trelawney. And together, we shall cast ourselves into the future! So, come! Take the teacup opposite of you."
"What a load of rubbish," Hermione scoffed as she set down her bag. Sera had already sat down in her seat next to her brother.
All three boys jumped, startled, before turning to face the two girls. Ron looked amazed, and confused.
"When did the two of you get here?!" he exclaimed in disbelief.
"Us?" Sera echoed, pretending to be confused. "Hermione and I have been here this entire time."
Ron glared suspiciously at the two girls before turning to face Professor Trelawney again, who was interrogating Neville.
"You, my dear boy! Is your grandmother well?"
Neville furrowed his eyebrows, looking confused. "I — I think so?"
"Are you sure? I'm not so sure, dear! Give me that cup." Dean Thomas, who was Neville's partner in the class, hesitantly passed the cup to Professor Trelawney. "Hmmm. . . . pity."
She set the cup back down. Dean looked confused and snatched the cup off the table, staring at the tealeaves. Professor Trelawney continued walking around the classroom, waiting for the next victim. She finally approached Sera, Ron, Harry, Hermione, Ron, and Dante. She yelped when she saw Ron looking into the cup.
"Oh! Your aura is pulsing, dear! Are you in the beyond? I think you are!"
Ron looked more confused than startled. "Oh. Um, sure."
"Are you so sure? Tell me what you see!"
"Well, Harry's got himself a bit of wonky cross. That there means suffering. And that, there, looks like the sun. So it means, if you're going to suffer, you're going to be happy about it?"
Even though Sera was not who Ron was reading the tealeaves for, he exchanged quizzical looks with her. But Sera was trying hard to not laugh. She could see that Hermione was doing the same, too.
"Are you so sure? Give me that cup!" Ron passed her the cup. But the China had barely touched her fingertips before she let out a yelp and tossed the cup back onto the saucer, acting as though the cup was a hot potato. She stared at Sera's brother with big eyes. "My dear," she breathed in horror. "You have . . . . the Grim!"
"The Grin?" Seamus asked stupidly as the class gasped in horror. Sera didn't believe in any of that shit. Even Harry looked full of disbelief. He grabbed the cup. "What's the Grin?"
"Not the Grin, you idiot. It's the Grim!" said fellow Gryffindor student, Bem. "It takes the form a giant spectral dog — known as the omen of death."

It was time for Hagrid's class, Care for Magical Creatures. Sera was really looking forward to seeing Hagrid teach. She knew he had a love for magical creatures — dragons, specifically. Or anything that was considered dangerous. Although she was sure that the only creature would never adopt would be a Basilisk.
"You don't think that the Grim has anything to do with Sirius Black, do you?" Ron asked after a long, awkward pause.
"Oh, honestly, Ronald," Sera scoffed. "If you ask me, Divinations in a wooly discipline. Now. Ancient Runes. That's a more fascinating subject," she added adoringly.
