Shortly before their return to Hogwarts, Mrs. Weasley had suggested that they should visit Fred and George's joke shop that had just opened to the public not too long ago. And of course, everyone was ecstatic about it.
The shop was packed with customers. Sera cold see how much dedication Fred and George had put into their workshop. She could tell that, after years of working hard, everything seemed to pay off.
Sera was, surprisingly, drawn to some love potions. She examined the potion bottle, wondering if they really worked. She was joined by Ginny and Hermione, who were speculating the same thing.
Fred and George waltzed over towards them.
"Hello, ladies," they greeted teasingly.
"Looking at the love potions, eh?" said Fred casually.
"If you're wondering, yup! They really do work," George added.
"But then again, the way we hear it, Ginny, you're doing just fine on your own."
"Meaning?" both Ginny and Sera both scoffed at the same time.
"You're not dating that Dean Thomas, are you? The boy from Sera's, Harry's, Hermione's, Dante's and Ron's class?"
Ginny rolled her eyes and cautiously put down the bottle of love potion. Her cheeks were dusted red with embarrassment.
"That's none of your business," she added in a stuck-up tone as she walked away.
"And a little bird has been telling me that you and Dante Knightley have recently been dating?" Fred added, winking knowingly at the red-head girl.
Sera was surprised. Who on earth would be telling Fred and George her's and Dante's secret? Hardly anybody knew that she and Dante had been dating, except for her friends.
She shrugged. "Look, I have no idea who told you that. But can you please stay out of mine and Dante's business? We're trying to keep this a secret. We know that some people are still skeptic about Dante, and there have been plenty of rumors about him returning to the Dark Side —"
"And we're perfectly aware that Dante would never do such a thing, sis," Fred butted in with a grin on his face. "We know that he's highly sensitive to that kind of thing. And don't worry, sis. George and I might be cracking jokes all the time, but we highly respect his privacy."
Sera smiled, her shoulders relaxing. "Thanks for understanding, Fred. And, really. We thank you for understanding."
The Weasley twins moved away, talking to some other visitors who had made their way into the joke shop. As Sera continued to roll the potions bottle in her hands, she was suddenly aware that someone had their eyes on her. The self-conscious feeling made her stop. She turned to look around for the person staring at her, and she came eye-to-eye with a blue-eyed, light-haired boy.
Froy Gutierrez as Austin Milos
She recognized him as Austin Milos, a Gryffindor her year.
She'd never spoken to him in person. It made her uneasy, and she wondered why, all of a sudden, he'd become so interested in her. She knew she was nothing special.
Non nearly as special as her brother, anyways.
"C'mon, let's leave," said Ron, who sounded a bit annoyed.
They began to walk out of the door when they heard two voices. One sounded familiar, and one did not.
"Hi, Ron," said the familiar voice of Lavender Brown.
"Hey, Dante," said an unfamiliar voice.
Sera glanced up to see none other than fellow sixth-year, Freya Halliwell.
Jade Pettyjohn as Freya Halliwell
Dante barely glanced up at the girl. He looked highly annoyed that another girl was acknowledging him. Didn't they realize that he already had a girlfriend?
"Hey, Freya," he greeted in a bitter tone.
Sera couldn't help but feel slightly jealous that he was giving this girl, Freya, all the attention. She glared back at the girl, who didn't seem to notice that she was there. She really hoped that Dante would never fall for her.
"How are Fred and George doing all of this?" said Hermione in amazement as they walked down the half-torn alley. "Nearly all of the buildings have been torn down, one way or another."
"Well, to be fair, Fred and George did recently open their shop," Sera reminded her.
As Sera continued talking, they passed by Ollivander's wand shop. Sera vaguely remembered meeting Ollivander for the first time. Her wand was made up of Elder wood and a Phoenix tail feather. According to Mr. Ollivander, her wand was a rare one, and extremely powerful, too.
"Oh, no," said Hermione forlornly. "It looks like everyone's bought their wands from Ollivander's."
They went ahead walked cautiously inside the building. Sera caught sight of a fallen wand on the floor, broken. Her eyebrows in confusion and she bent down to pick it up. As she examined the broken wand, Ron spoke up, sounding confused.
"Harry, Sera? Is it just me? Or does it look like Draco Malfoy and his Mummy look like two people who don't want to be followed right now?"
This caught Sera's attention. She set the box with the broken wand down, and joined Ron at the half-broken window. Even Dante, who hadn't had any sort of contact with his cousin since the end of last year, was intrigued. He walked over towards the window, standing next to Ron, watching with anticipation.
They casually walked out of the shop, acting as though they weren't doing anything suspicious. They carefully sprinted towards the direction they had seen Draco and his mother literally avoiding everyone that they could. And that made them suspicious.
Harry had the wonderful idea of climbing onto the roof, which they reluctantly did, so that they could get a better view. Sera was confused when she saw Draco Malfoy facing some sort of cabinet. It bewildered her greatly, and she wondered why Draco Malfoy would be wanting to buy some sort of cabinet.
The owner of the shop suddenly turned, his eyes on the five teens. Sera quickly realized this and quickly hid. Her other four friends followed suit. They heard the sound of the blinds closing before cautiously peering over the roof again. This time, their view was blocked.
