Harry smiled when he approached the party tent. He had been accompanied by his sister. As they entered the tent, they could see Bill and Fleur dancing. Sera smiled at the newly-wed couple.
Shortly after their arrival at the party, they were joined by Luna Lovegood.
"Hello, Harry and Sera!" The cheerful smile then fell when she noticed the concentrated look on their faces.
"Hello, Luna," said Sera brightly.
"Oh. I'm interrupting an important thought, aren't I? I can see it growing dimly in your eyes."
Harry quickly shook his head. "No, you're not, Luna. How are you, Luna?"
"Oh, I'm fairly well," Luna answered in a casual voice. She proudly held up a bleeding finger. "I was just bitten by a garden gnome just moments ago. The garden is lovely, isn't it?"
A man with long, straight, white hair approached the twins. Sera noticed that he looked quite similar to Lucius Malfoy. She was about to back away, only to realize that the man was smiling, something that Lucius Malfoy would never do.
"Gnome saliva is very beneficial," the man, whom Sera assumed was Luna's father. He turned to the twins, extending his hand out for them to shake. Since Sera was a fairly short person, she caught sight of a strange symbol hanging around the man's neck. "Xenophilius Lovegood, Mr. and Miss Potter. I'm Luna's father. We live just down the hill from the Burrow."
"Lovely to meet you, sir," said Sera politely as she took his hand.
Xenophilius continued talking to the twins in a low voice. "I know that you know, Mr. and Miss Potter, that we, at the Quibbler, unlike those toadies at the Daily Prophet, fully supported Dumbledore in his lifetime, even after his death. And we support you and your sister just as fully."
His daughter tugged Xenophilius on the wrist, smiling slightly. "C'mon, Daddy. The twins don't want to talk to us right now. They're just being too polite to say so. Let's go dance somewhere else."
Xenophilius allowed his daughter to pull him away from the twins. The duo wandered around the pavilion until they caught sight of the elderly Elphias Dodge.
"Sir? Is it alright if we both sit down?" Harry asked politely.
The elderly man smiled brightly. "By all means, Mr. and Miss Potter! You know that I cannot turn down a conversation from the two of you."
Harry struck up a conversation while Sera passed him a flute of champagne.
"I found what you wrote in the Daily Prophet about Dumbledore in the Daily Prophet, sir. I found it to be very moving. I understand that you knew Dumbledore well?"
"Oh, yes," Elphias answered. "I certainly knew him the longest, if you don't count his brother, Aberforth. And somehow, people never seem to include Aberforth, even though he is Albus' brother."
"I never knew that he had a brother, sir," said Harry politely.
"Me neither," Sera agreed.
Elphias Dodge shifted in his seat. "Yes, well . . . . Dumbledore did like to keep his life very private, you know. Even as a young boy."
"Sir, I was wondering if you had any sort of contact with him before he died?"
"The occasional owl. Thought that it was very strange."
"Strange, sir?" Sera asked.
"Well, it was the owls themselves, you see. They oftentimes arrived in distress. It had been very clear that they had been travelling some great distances in some cases."
