"Dumbledore won't be gone for long," Ernie McMillan reassured the five friends once they had finished clearing up their day's work in the greenhouses. Now they were on their way back to the castle. "The Ministry tried to keep him away in our second year, remember? They weren't successful back in the day."

"Yes, but that was also Lucius Malfoy's doing," Sera also put in. "He blackmailed them and threatened to kill their families if they didn't agree with him."

"Anyways," said Ernie who leaned towards them as though he was going to gossip about something. Sera leaned in with rapt attention. She could use some gossip right now. "The Fat Friar informed me that Professor Umbridge tried to get into Professor Dumbledore's office last night after searching the grounds for the headmaster. The Headmaster's office has sealed itself against her." He smirked. "Couldn't get past that gosh-darn gargoyle. Apparently, she had a bit of a tantrum about it."

Sera scoffed and rolled her eyes. "Well, that little toad can try as hard as she wants to. But there's no way she'll be able to get into that office. Dumbledore is still Headmaster, even if he left the school temporarily. She is not."

"Oh, I expect that she would really fancy herself sitting up there in the Head's Office, being high and mighty, and all that."

"Yeah. And lording over the rest of the teachers and the students," Dante seethed. Sera had never seen him look this upset in a while. "That stupid, puffed-up, frog-like, power-crazy old —"

"Now, you really don't want to finish that sentence. Do you now, cousin?" Draco Malfoy gloated as he walked past. He had a stupid grin on his face. "Afraid that I'll have to dock several points from Gryffindor and Hufflepuff."

"Hey! You can't do that against other Prefects!" Ernie butted in at once.

"I know that prefects can't dock points from each other. But, in case you haven't noticed, we're a part of the Inquisitorial Squad. So, technically, we are allowed to dock points from other prefects, especially if they've been talking about our new headmistress behind her back."

Sera rolled her eyes, and haughtily put her hands on her hips. She held her chin up high. "Well, they weren't able to keep him away from Hogwarts in our second year," she declared proudly. "And they sure as hell won't be able to keep him away this time. Ernie had confirmed it. He'll be here again, I promise you. You just watch your back."

Malfoy ignored her comment. Or at least, she thought he didn't notice her compliment. "So, Granger. I'll dock five house points from you for calling our headmistress names. McMillan, five from your for contradicting me. Five from both Potter twin because I don't like either of you —"

"Yes, you've made that very clear," said Sera sarcastically.

Malfoy ignored her comment this time. "Weasley, your shirt is untucked, so five for that. And — oh, yeah! You're a Mudblood, Granger. So another five from you. Hmm. I think that I'm also forgetting something. Right! Female Potter, you spoke up against me. So ten points form you."

"Why, you —" Dante growled as he got his wand out from his jeans pocket. He was about to aim it at his cousin, but Sera stopped him. Malfoy laughed coldly. "And I've also forgotten. Docking ten points from you, dear cousin, for trying to curse me, if your girlfriend hadn't stopped you. And another ten because you're a Blood Traitor."

Dante would have moved to punch his cousin in the face this time, if Sera hadn't stopped him. Malfoy laughed.

"Wise move, Potter. New Head, new times. Be good now, Pottys, Weasel King."

Now they had entered the entrance of the school. Ernie looked both distressed and concerned.

"He can't do that! He can't be allowed to dock points from other prefects! The notes made it clear that we weren't supposed to dock points from each other, no matter how much we hated each other's guts!"
