Sera felt relieved, still not regretting the fact that she had passed down the Quidditch legacy to her brother. She knew that he could always keep all hands on deck, and keep everything in order. Just as she had done before she decided to quit Quidditch in her third year after falling off her broom due to a surprise Dementor attack.
She walked downstairs, meeting up with Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Dante. Ron looked rather ill, his face pale. He looked ready to vomit at any moment. She slid down in a seat next to Hermione, gratefully taking whatever came her way.
"So, how was it, then?" Ron asked, his tone a bit bitter.
Sera glanced up at him, alarmed. "How was what?"
"Y'know - Slughorn's party. From the Slug Club."
Sera shrugged indifferently. "Quite boring, actually. I honestly didn't arrive until dessert."
Ron stared at her, alarmed. "How come?"
"It was October 31st, Ronald. You know what day that is for me."
The alarmed look on Ron's face faded. "Oh. Sorry, Sera."
"Although, I think that Dante rather enjoyed his dessert," Hermione put in with a knowing smirk as she glanced at him. Dante kept his head down, his face flushed pink with embarrassment. "Anyways, Slughorn is having a Christmas party, too, y'know. And we're supposed to bring someone."
"Yeah? Well, I suppose that you'll be bringing McLaggen, then, I suppose?" Ron seethed enviously.
"Ew, no! He's already in the Slug Club, you idiot," Sera butted in at once.
Hermione dropped her copy of the Daily Prophet onto the table, glaring at Ron. "Actually, I was going to ask you."
Ron did not look convinced. "Really?"
Hermione did not answer. At that moment, both fellow Gryffindor students, Lavender Brown and Freya Halliwell, skipped towards them, arms linked together. They stopped in front of Ron. Lavender tapped his shoulder, grinning coquettishly.
"Good luck today, Ronald. I know that you'll do absolutely brilliant!" she boasted.
Sera wanted to gag when Freya went up to Dante and linked her arm with his. "I'll be nearby, if that's okay with you," she flirted.
Without waiting for an answer, she blew Dante a kiss. Sera pretended to gag. Hermione smirked, knowing that Sera hated Freya's guts.
"I'm resigning," said Ron hoarsely. "After the match today. McLaggen can have my spot, instead."
Harry shrugged. "Suit yourself. Want any juice, Ronald?"
"Anything," Ron croaked in return.
"Morning, everyone," said the familiar, dreamy voice of Luna Lovegood. She had drifted from the Gryffindor table over to where Ginny and Dean sat together. She squinted at Ron. "You look dreadful, Ron. Is that why you're putting something in his drink, Harry? Is it a tonic of some kind?"
Sera's head immediately snapped up at that comment. She caught the familiar golden glint of the Felix Felice's bottle. Her eyes widened in disbelief.
"Liquid Luck," she murmured under her breath. Ron grabbed his goblet. Sera began to stop him. "Don't drink it, Ronald!"
Ron did not listen. Instead, he took a sip from his goblet. At once, he had this dreamy-like look on his face. Sera glared at her brother, her fists clenched in anger.
"You should be expelled for that!"
"I don't know what you're talking about," Harry answered at once.
"You know perfectly well what I'm talking about, brother!"
"C'mon, Harry. We've got a game to win."
The duo left, leaving Sera, Dante, and Hermione sitting together. Sera still sat there, stunned by what she had just witnessed. She would surely tell a professor, but not until after the game.

By the end of the game, the Gryffindor team had won. Sera stood by her brother, still watching in disbelief, as everyone in the room cheered for him. Everyone was chanting Ron's last name to egg him on. Sera turned to her brother.
"I'm not surprised that they haven't even expelled you yet."
In response, Harry pulled out the full bottle of the golden liquid. Sera noticed that none of it had been used. She furrowed her eyebrows together in confusion.
"You didn't use any of it?"
Harry shook his head proudly. "I wanted Ron to think that I put it in his morning juice to make him think that he was invincible. He saved every one of those goals with his own strength."
Sera turned to face Ron, watching as he embraced Lavender Brown into a hug before snogging her. Sera glanced around the room again. Not too far away from her, her breath got caught in her throat when she saw Freya Halliwell linking arms with Dante, steering him around. She failed to notice, however, the uncomfortable look on the boy's face as Freya held him closely to her, grinning like an idiot.
"Excuse me," said Sera quietly.
She left, sitting on the stairs leading to the Gryffindor common room.
Great. First, she cried over her parent's deaths. That was perfectly acceptable to her. But what was not acceptable was her crying over Dante linking arms with the obnoxious Freya Halliwell. It made her sick. To distract herself, she practiced the birds that she and her classmates were trying to conjure up.
Tears came to her eyes for the second time that week. She didn't even realize that her brother stood behind her until he sat down at her side. She jumped slightly when she noticed her brother touching her slightly. She tried to send him a reassuring smile, only to fail miserably.
"Harry? How do you feel when you see Dean and Ginny together?"
Harry embraced his sister into a comforting hug, resting his head gently on his sister's shoulder. Sera did not hesitate to cling onto him for support.
"Yeah," he answered. "Yeah, I know exactly how you feel, Sera."
And he did. He truly did.
