Later that month, Meredith gets a phone call from her lawyer, Harrison. Harrison says that James is being sentenced to life in prison. Meredith jumps off of the couch and in a really serious voice says "Really." "Yes, and there is no bail." says Harrison. "Thank God! Thank You!" says Meredith.
Once they end their call, Meredith gets a text from an unknown phone number. The text read 'You got my child, now I got yours.' Meredith gasps and checks the time. The kids were 5 minutes late, from coming home from school. The children were never late. Something was wrong.
First, Meredith gets to call Damon. No answer. Then Stefan. No answer, again. Next Elena, and again, no answer.
Something was really wrong.
Meredith calls Eric. Eric answers the phone and is about to say hello when Meredith starts to ramble.
"Slow down, My Love. What happened." says Eric.
"The kids are missing and I got a text message from an unknown I.D. and the kids were kidnapped!" says Meredith.
"I will call the police, you notify the family. Okay." says Eric.
"Okay." says Meredith.
