3 weeks go by and it is time for the funeral. Meredith gets the kids ready. The boys wore black button up shirts and slacks. The girls wore a simple black dress.
When they leave the house, everyone is sad and silent. When they get to the funeral. They take their seats. Then the funeral begins. The casket is brought in and the sermon is said. Eric does a speech. People cry. People touch the closed casket and say goodbye. Then they all eat a very sad meal. Finally they go to the burial and watch them barry the casket. Then they go home. The kids don't go to school for the rest of the month and Eric takes that week off.
