It was day three and the road to leave this place was still blocked. I was a little annoyed, but it wasn't all bad. At least I had a place to sleep and free meals three times a day. Unfortunately, it was raining outside today. I was glad that I had packed a few books in my bag. I was half way through the book I had been reading when there was a knock on the door. 'Who could that be?' I wondered, especially in this weather. It was raining cats and dogs out there. I marked my place with my bookmark before setting it on the coffee table. Then I stood up to see who was at the door. I saw one of the staff members, but he wasn't alone. The other man had platinum blonde hair with dark roots. He was wearing a red button up shirt and what looked like baseball pants. The pants were white with vertical black pinstripes.

'I saw him before. He was the man I saw the other day. He was conducting a meditation class of some kind.' I remembered. Our eyes met and a small smile spread across his lips. "I thought I should properly introduce myself." He said as I stepped out of the way to let them inside. "My name is Barns. I run this place with the help of my staff." He said. I introduced myself to him as well and wondered why he came to visit me. Deep down I had a feeling he was going to convince me to stay. I kind of was thinking about staying anyway. Hopefully he would be okay with that. We talked as we walked over to the couch. He told me a little bit about this community that he has built. From what I could tell he had good intentions, but I knew things were still a little odd. It felt like a retreat, but it also gave cult commune vibes. Although, I didn't really have any other place to go. I didn't have enough money to get rent a place.

Hell, I didn't even have enough to spend a night at a shitty motel. "Would it be okay if I stayed here for a prolonged period time?" I asked shyly after a few minutes of silence. "Of course. Even if you decide to leave at any point, you'll always be welcome here." He said with a warm smile and kind look in his eyes. It made me feel welcome. The two of us talked a little longer before it was lunch time. "Why don't you accompany me to my home for lunch? I can have my staff prepare whatever you would like to eat." He said as he stood up. "Oh, I don't know..." I said awkwardly. "Please, I insist. I would love to discuss things with you further." He said, and I couldn't say no this time. Especially from how generous he has been. So I stood up and grabbed my umbrella as we headed outside.
