The honey I bought from Barns was amazing. It was probably the best honey we had ever had. The lotion he gave me helped my scars heal quicker than usual. Unfortunately, I had ran out of it just as fast. So I took some money I had been saving up and took a walk to his honey stand. It was another warm and sunny day, which was nice. When I got to my destination there were a few people on line. But there weren't as many as there were the other day. As I got closer to the front of the line I noticed what he was wearing. He had on a black button up shirt that had a floral pattern on it. It looked as if it had came out of the 1970's. It looked really good on him and seemed to match his vibe.

"Hello again." He said with a big charming smile on his face. I couldn't help but to smile back. "Hi. I can to buy more of that lotion if you have any." I said and the look in his blue eyes softened. "Sure. I'm glad it worked for you." He said as he rummage around under his table. The table had a cloth over it with a honeycomb pattern on it. He stood up with a brown paper bag in hand. He didn't let me see inside of it though. "How much do I owe you?" I asked him curiously. "Ten dollars and fifty cents." He said. Luckily I had enough to pay for it. "Have a lovely day." He said after putting the money away. "You too. Thanks for everything." I said, feeling a little awkward. The expression on his face and look in his eyes made me feel warm inside.

We said goodbye and I headed back home. I was honestly surprised at how heavy the bag was, but maybe he just gave me a bunch of little tubes of lotion. When I reached the house I locked the door behind me. Then I sat on the couch and looked inside of the bag. I gasped softly when I saw what he put inside of it. There was a large tube of lotion, two small tubes, and a couple of bees wax based lip balms. I felt warm and fuzzy inside seeing everything, but I also felt kinda guilty. I obviously underpaid for everything he gave me. I walked into the kitchen and looked for the business card he gave me last time. It was on the fridge, held up by a carrot shaped magnet. I took my cellphone out of my pocket and dialed his number. I felt nervous and anxiety burned in my stomach. Phone calls always make me nervous.

After a few minutes he answered the phone and the anxiety got worse. "Um, hi. This is Y/n, I bought more of the lotion you gave me." I said, hoping that he would know who I was. Hopefully no one else went and bought any lotion today. "Oh, yeah. You were wearing a yellow shirt, right?" He said in a friendly tone. "Yeah, that was me." I replied. "Was there something wrong with what you bought today?" He asked curiously. "Oh, no. It's just... well... I think I underpaid you. Especially since you added a bunch of stuff into my bag." I said awkwardly. "It's fine, Y/n. I wanted to give those little extra things to you. Don't worry about it." He said, which made me blush. I couldn't help but to feel more awkward. "Thanks. I... I don't know what to say. You're very sweet." I said shyly. The chuckle that escaped his lips gave me butterflies. It was such a beautiful sound.

"Thank you. You seem very sweet as well. If you ever need anyone to talk to you can text or call me, okay? " He replied. I thanked him and hoped that he was being truthful about that. A lot of people have said that I could reach out to them and they didn't really mean it. Which only resulted in me sinking into a deeper depression. After a few minutes we said our goodbyes and hung up our phones. I walked back into the living room and sat down to watch tv. I also applied some of the lotion to my healing scars. Then I checked out the lip balm he had gifted me. It smelled nice, but it had a different scent than the lotion. It had a honey, green tea, and faint minty scent. I honestly wished there was a reason for me to see him again tomorrow. But I didn't wanna be in the way of his other customers.
