He woke up after a bit. Except to a certain few, it has been forever.
The humans had arrived after locating them.
These humans were fascinated by monsterkind. But not in a good way. They had heard the myths and legends of monsterkind and hated it. Hated that a species as intelligent as mankind existed, with magical powers.
They wanted them gone.
Frisk didn't know how to deal with them. Trying to avoid them never worked and it would often force Frisk to explain their powers, something they did not plan to do. They would always attempt to go back and try to change something, but nothing ever changed in the long run.
This run had the most change out of the many prior, so Frisk wanted to stay on this timeline rather than going back to the breaking of the barrier. But it proved difficult.
"There they are! We did it!" Someone shouted in the distance.
Here we go again.
They always said the same annoying lines every time they found the monsters. A group of around 8 or so humans.
"No way! They are real!"
"Quick, shoot before they run!"
"But what if they use their magic? I wanna see it!"
"Is that a normal dog or a magic dog?"Eventually, they would open fire. Sometimes someone died. Sometimes everyone did.
And Frisk would load. And it would all happen again.

Frisk tried many different methods to try and break through."Hey wait!" Frisk interjected before they shot their weapons.
"Why is their a kid here?" The leader, presumably, asked. They lowered the gun slightly.Frisk had already asked the common questions. The whys, the ifs, the they didn't do anything wrong! And everything in between.
"What's your name?" Frisk politely asked.
But, instead of actually answering, they scoffed at them and gave some sort of signal to the people behind them. And the gunshots were let out.

Now, the monsters never knew the human group were there. They hid behind trees until they began to shoot. Frisk tried once to bring the monsters with them to talk the humans out of shooting. But instead, the humans would just fire on sight, never giving anyone a chance to talk.
It was on the load after Frisk asked for the name that they realised they something.
Sans was still asleep, through it all. He was the only one missing this.
The key.
Frisk might have been right all this time, maybe he was the key.
"Hey Papyrus, shouldn't you wake your brother up now?" Frisk reminded him. Papyrus took a moment to answer.
"Actually probably not. I heard an alarm pretty early this morning. Very early actually." Frisk gave a confused expression at this. They had known Sans for quite a while and he would never wake up early. In fact, he would probably sleep early instead.
"I think just this once, I'll let him off"Frisk couldn't allow that. Not in these circumstances.
"Nooo Papyrus! Not you too!" Frisk said with mock horror in their face. They looked away, faking a pained expression.
"Huh? What did I do??" He said, clearly confused. He then stood up quickly, pausing the examination of the grass he was conducting beforehand. "Are you okay, Frisk?""No I'm not Papyrus! You've fell into the trap! The trap of being okay with laziness!" Frisk exclaimed, trying to keep a straight face. "You've became so used to Sans's laziness, you're now subconsciously allowing it!"
