Frisk lied alone with their thoughts. It seemed like some sort of tradition now. Alone, laying on their bed, gazing at the ceiling. They had to deal with Toriel who didn't like the way Frisk hadn't thought to mention the risk they put themselves in. Frisk tried to argue that they did think about it, and they also had no clue that they were going to be at any sort of risk.

Now, they sat alone. Eyeing the notebook they used earlier. They looked at the first page, reminding themselves of the tears they saw and the strange time jumps. They grabbed a pen.

Sans moving whilst everyone else was still. Closes the tears.

They sighed. They were no scientist. They couldn't solve this or understand. They lied back on their bed, closing the book and setting it next to them. They closed their eyes, wondering if wasting time on their phone would be a better idea than giving themselves a headache trying to save their friends. They almost chose the former.

Partner. I was thinking, it's not exactly fair for you to know absolutely everything about me, when I don't even know your name.

Cmon, I literally let you use my body to fight. And you also lied about the way your possession thing works! The least you could do is respond.

...

You said you would talk "later"...?

I changed my mind.

Frisk's felt a tad bit betrayed.

So you know something, but don't want to talk now?

It's just... pointless. You don't need to know about me. And what you do know about me... you don't. Not anymore.

What is that supposed to mean?

Nothing. Nothing to you.

...

Just. Tell me your name.

I don't have a name. I'm just... Determination. It's not a name. It's just what's left of me.

That's a lie. Determination isn't like you. It doesn't have thoughts, a voice, a past and a future. It doesn't have memories and it certainly can't possess me. You are a person and you refuse to believe it.

Frisk, let it go.

No! I won't. You have to end this stupid mysterious act. It's not helping anyone.

Frisk rolled over in bed, praying that their partner would just talk to them.

If I told you about myself, then it would only distract you from the task at hand.

Well, atleast tell me what you figured out earlier today. It was important enough for you to think that you had to tell me at first.

...

Frisk heard a sigh, followed my mutters. Then, silence.

About 10 minutes later, whilst Frisk was absentmindedly scrolling through their phone, they heard the all-familair voice.

Do you remember your dream?

Frisk knew what they were talking about, and nodded. They turned off their phone, making sure their partner knew they had their attention.

That was me. I accidently shared you some of my memories. You've see- no... heard that memory before. But, I suppressed it. Along with everything you previously knew about me. It was in an attempt to hide myself from you.
