"Okay, before all of that!" Undyne shouted quickly before anyone else could get a word in. She jabbed a finger towards Flowey, who scowled in response. Everyone turned their heads to look towards where Undyne was pointing. "Who even is he? Where does he come into this?"

"And how do you two -" She kept her finger pointed at Flowey and locked eyes with Sans, "know eachother?"

Sans sighed and began to speak, before Flowey abruptly cut him off.

"How about you let me introduce myself?"

"yeah, that's fair. take the stage."

Flowey appeared infront of the TV, smiling, appearing as an overly cheerful, joyous flower. Sans hated when he acted like this.

"Howdy all! I'm Flowey. Flowey the Flower." He introduced himself, despite the fact that everyone in the room knew his name.

There was a momentary pause. He scowled in annoyance.

"Well? Aren't you gonna ask something?"

Papyrus was the first to react.

"My brother said you weren't a monster... what does that mean? Are you... a human-monster-plant hybrid??" Papyrus asked with incredulity.

Flowey almost laughed at his statement.

"Where'd you get human from?" He returned a question. When Papyrus looked like he was going to answer, Flowey decided to stop him and answer his question.

"Y'see, I have no soul."

No empathy, I can't feel. I can't love, care, truly feel happy or sad. I'm numb. So cold...in every aspect. And I don't want sympathy. Or pity. I don't wanna hear the word "sorry" or comments. Because it's been decades like this. And I don't care. Why should you try to comfort me when I can't feel anything but the numbing weight that forever is held inside of me?

Flowey let the words sink in. To his relief, everyone listened. They stayed silent, and Flowey took this as a cue to continue.

I'm not a monster. The only quality I share with monsters are the ability to absorb human souls. But I can absorb monster souls too, any souls.

He hoped no one would ask how he knew that. That would be awkward.

I'm built from magic and Determination. The Determination was kindly gifted to me by a certain Royal Scientist that's right infront of me!

He grinned eerily at Alphys, who turned red. Everyone emitted expressions of shock. Flowey noticed the lack of a reaction from Asgore.

And the magic? Well, a sprinkle of boss monster dust sufficed in creating a magic flow inside of me, akin to monsters, but neglecting the need of a SOUL.

Flowey hesitated, finding his next words. Would he elaborate on the dust?

No, there was no need.

Well, from there, I just wandered around the underground, learning and observing. I would mess around a bit, have some fun. After all, I was off the radar, no one knew me. No consequences...

They didn't know just how little consequences there were for him.

"Made some friends, some enemies."

He looked at Papyrus, then Sans.

I found out everything about everyone. I did whatever I wanted. But life...was just boring. I could never find a purpose. Without love, even with LOVE... things just didn't seem enjoyable. I couldn't feel, no matter what I did. No matter how many times I tried.
