It started slow. It came out in slow batches. The group all turned to face the tear that slowly revealed black sludge. It exited the tear and formed into a more humanoid figure. It lacked arms and legs, but featured a dark, goopy solid black body and a pale white head with dark ovals for eyes and bloodshot red miniature pupils. It scanned the room and created a broad red smile when it noticed the group of three facing it with fear and determination.

"WONDERFUL." Its voice was scratchy, but legible. It's voice boomed across the room, but didn't seem loud.

It moved forward, closer. The tear closed behind it. It moved to speak, but Flowey interrupted.

"Alright, bud. You've made your mark. Am I right to assume you're the big bad VOID thing." Flowey moved infront of Frisk and stared the VOID down. It wasn't fazed, but neither was Flowey.

"I SUPPOSE." It responded. It didn't seem like much of a talker.

"VOID thing?" Undyne asked Frisk. "Frisk, what don't I know?" She whispered and tapped them repeatedly, but never looked away from the VOID. It didn't move, as if it was allowing Frisk to answer.

"Apparently, the VOID is a sentient thing. That's all." Frisk explained in the simplest terms. "And it's fueled by determination." They added on.

Undyne nodded and summoned a spear, she was quick to point it at the VOID.

"What do you want?" She demanded an answer, giving the VOID a slight jab.

Flowey was about to stop her with bis vine, considering magic didn't do much to the VOID creature prior, but stopped when he noticed the VOID visibly flinch at the light jab. Frisk noticed this aswell, but stayed silent. Flowey retracted the vine.

The VOID laughed silently. Its head fell back, its body jumped in an upwards motion, it's mouth was wide open, but no vocals could be heard. It's "laughs" got so wild, that it was moving with each jump of the chest, eventually knocking down Sans's chair due to its extreme movements.

It stopped abruptly. Undyne got it's attention with a slash a spear in its direction. It didn't hit, Undyne was too far now because of its backwards movements, but it got close.

"Did...did you bring me here?" She asked, her volume lowered noticeably. The figure infront of her didn't speak, but the smile grew further.

"DETERMINATION. ITS POWER IS UNENDING." It spoke without emotion. No facial features, no body movement. It was unreadable.

Frisk wasn't sure how to react to it.

There's no point just standing here. Cut to the chase. Ask what it wants.

"Why is Undyne here? Who was the other monster?" Frisk paused. They tried to analyse VOID, look for any weakness, any signs of motive. "What do you want?"

"DETERMINATION." It repeated. "IT SPEAKS TO YOU. IT GUIDES. IT SHAPES YOUR LIFE." The VOID continued. Undyne took notice of one of its sentences.

It speaks to you?

Undyne left to find Asgore. That was the original goal, anyway. Alphys was locked up in her mini-lab, Papyrus wasn't answering his phone - which never normally happens! Sans also wasn't answering, which was either because he didn't have Undynes number saved, or because his phone wasn't charged. Undyne felt like the latter was more probable.

Toriel did answer, but Undyne knew she didn't know much more than her. Besides, she seemed tired and frustrated over the phone. She said Frisk was sleeping, which was irritating as Frisk was the next person who probably had some sort of information, after Sans.
