"It's over, Enderlord!" Petra exclaimed, drawing her sword. "We defeated your Kraken, and now we're going to take you down, too!"

"And before you get any crazy ideas about teleporting to another dimension," I put in quickly, stepping forward and raising my left hand into the air, flicking my wrist to add a little bit of flourish.

A nearly invisible shockwave burst from my hand, and for a brief moment, the colors of this world became inverted before quickly returning to normal.

"There," I smiled. "All interdimensional travel has been disabled for the next five minutes. I didn't want to have to do that, but it seems you have left me with no choice."

"Fine, if that's the way you want to be, let's finish what we started," Enderlord decided. "A one on one duel to the death."

The others were quickly seized by the ship's crew, leaving only Enderlord and me. Enderlord drew his iron sword, glaring determinedly at me.

"It doesn't have to be this way!" I told him, though I drew my own weapon as a defense mechanism if he decided to attack.

"So you'll give me that portal gun of yours?" Enderlord pressed.

"I told you why I can't do that!" I exclaimed. "I don't know you, I don't know what you'd do, I have no reason to trust you! Perhaps if you took the time to get to know me and offered your friendship--"

"Your friendship is useless to me," Enderlord retorted. "All I want is your portal gun."

"Then perhaps you could tell me why you want it so badly?" I urged him.

"When we were trapped outside of the end, I stumbled across some books," Enderlord began. "We were adjusting to our new lives, yes, but that didn't mean we didn't miss our homes just a little. I was hoping these books would help us find a way back, so I started to teach myself how to read. When I finally learned what those books were saying, I was disgusted, outraged! All you humans think we're just some unintelligent, completely peaceful, harmless race! I wanted to prove them wrong, so I started focusing on enhancing my teleporting abilities. One day, I got so good at it, I found out I could teleport to other worlds. But, I soon found I was still limited to the confines of this universe. I wanted to discover new things, to go where no one had gone before, to show the world that we endermen can do amazing things! Then I discovered you. I spent weeks trying to figure out how to get to your world and steal your portal gun so I could teleport to other worlds, but then, yesterday, you practically opened a gateway for me!"

"There are other ways you can prove your intelligence!" I exclaimed. "You don't have to do it this way!"

"Oh, you mean those pathetic arts and crafts Soren set up?" Enderlord pressed. "We're far too intelligent to waste our time with those silly things."

"Please! You don't have to do this!" I pleaded with him as he charged at me, but I blocked him idly.

"I will show the world just how powerful and intelligent we Endermen can be!" Enderlord cried out. "I will conquer every world, and show them what it's like to be treated like the inferior race, to be experimented on, to be treated like you're capable of nothing, and I will crush anyone who stands in my way!"

He teleported away. I stayed calm and took a deep breath, listening carefully for the sounds of him rematerializing. I heard him teleport in right behind me. I threw my sword over my shoulder, a reckless move, I know, but he wasn't expecting it, so it worked. It worked a bit too well for my liking. Enderlord cried out in pain and doubled over backwards, my blade lodged in his chest. His breathing was heavy, his eyes glazed over, and he barely moved.
