"Who goes there?" A booming voice resounded off the walls of the cave, and two, fiery red eyes appeared in front of us.

"Who dares disturb our sleep?" A female voice added with just as much resonance.

"We do," I retorted confidently.

"And just who do you think you are?!" First voice asked angrily.

"We are the Order of the Stone," Jesse spoke up. "We're here on behalf of the innocent people in that town you're terrorizing."

"What you're doing isn't right," I added. "And we're here to put a stop to it!"

"Your bravery and boldness make you foolish," The first voice warned us. "Leave now and maybe we'll let you leave unharmed."

"You have no idea who you're messing with," I warned the two dragons.

"Yeah!" Petra agreed. "Agree to stop terrorizing those innocent people, and maybe we'll let you leave unharmed."

"It seems you have chosen to learn your mistake the hard way," Flarerod spoke up. "We have terrorized this city for a millenia, and we won't let you stop us now."

"Yeah, they sent their strongest men after us, and time after time, they proved to be no match for us," Glacia added. "What makes you think you'll be any different?"

"Nothing in particular," I shrugged.

"Just the fact that we know we can't let you keep terrorizing those innocent people," Jesse added.

"That's what they all said," Flarerod noted. "And they all failed. You'll be no different."

"We'll see about that," I decided.

"Indeed we shall," Flarerod muttered, spitting flames. ***

Thank goodness I picked up that shield. I was able to use it to block the blow. I drew my sword with my other hand, glaring determinedly at the two dragons. The fire dragon was the most dangerous one, so I decided it would be best to deal with him first. I used the smoke from his fire breath as a shroud, rushing in and sliding underneath him, slashing at his underbelly. He roared with fury, lifting one of his legs to swipe at me, but thinking quickly, I turned the ground around his feet into ice, causing him to slip and fall. I rolled out from underneath him just before he would have crushed me.

"Nice going, Glacia," he muttered. "You fool!"

"I-I didn't do that, brother," She responded.

"Oh, of course you didn't," Flarerod retorted. "Who else could have done it?"

"I don't know, brother, but I'm telling you it wasn't me!" Glacia insisted.

Flarerod howled with rage, breathing fire at his sister. Jesse, who had been sneaking up on her back, just barely managed to leap down in time to avoid getting torched.

"Don't mess with me!" He roared. "You're the only one in this cave who can summon ice, and that ice wasn't there before. Don't take me for a fool, Glacia."

While his back was turned to me, I took this chance and summoned a flurry of icicles, plinking off most of his scales, but piercing through at a few points where the scales had gone missing. Before he could turn around to see who it was, I climbed up his tail and crept along his body towards his head.

"YOU!" The dragon whipped around just in time to see Soren standing there, poised to strike one of his feet. "YOU DID THIS!"

I sped across his scales as he got ready to breath fire at Soren, hoping to get to his head before he did so. Soren froze, but only for a moment. Once he saw me on the dragon's head, he regained his confidence and thrust his sword through the dragon's foot. I grabbed the dragon's horns, ready to pilot him like a starship. I pulled back and he reared his head up, crying out in pain.
