Clara

The only thing ringing in my ear was my own heartbeat. I knew how Abigail wanted me to react. She would want me to calm down, talk to her before making any assumptions.

But oh love, this is not how I work.

She will probably be very pissed at me for barging into her practice and putting her into the spotlight like that, but I was far too hot headed to think twice before doing something.

"Abigail." I took my helmet off the moment I stepped in, holding it in my hand. A dozen pairs of eyes landed on me, startled by my sudden appearance.

"Clara, is everything alright?" Their new coach turned to me with a confused look.

I ignored her, my eyes on Abigail. "My office, now!"

I didn't miss the redness of her cheeks or the pissed look on her face as I walked out, leaving the door open behind me. I took big steps, listening to her following behind me quickly. "You can't just do this! This was so embarrassing."

I didn't say anything, opening the door of my office and stepping aside to let her in. To my silence, she crossed her arms in front of her chest, not taking any steps further. I raised my eyebrows, tilting my head to the side.

"Don't play with me, Abigail." My tone was far more calm than I intended. I wanted her to know I was angry, but my voice was cold, not giving away anything.

"What you did was- Clara stop!" She squeeked when I leaned down to grab her and lift her, pushing me away. "I'll go, just stop making a scene." She huffed, passing me. I gazed down the hallway, locking eyes with some of the girls who decided to follow Abigail.

"Back to practice. Nothing to see here." I shut the door behind me, not giving them a chance for a second glance.

"Clara, this was not right." Abbie was still pissed, her arms crossed in front of her chest as she watched me walk up to her.

My heart was racing, trying to break through my ribs. Being separated from her was painful and I couldn't bear it. I grabbed her face with one hand, pulling her in and smashing my lips against hers.

The force I kissed her with almost knocked her down from her feet, the only thing keeping her up was my hand around her waist. Abigail let out a quiet moan, too surprised to kiss me back.

Her hands pushed on my shoulders until the kiss broke. "Fuck, love." I cursed, leaning my forehead against hers. "I'm so fucking mad at you." I whispered, leaning in to try to kiss her again.

She stepped away to avoid my kiss. "What-" She frowned, clearing her throat. "What is happening?" Confusion settled out on her face.

"We are going to fight, but we are kissing first." I explained. I didn't give her much chance to protest before sucking her lips between mine.

"Clara." She mumbled, trying to break the kiss.

Please let me have this

"Please." My tone was softer now, trying to convince her to let me continue kissing her.

"Talk to me." She stepped away.

I tried to decide if she would let me keep kissing her if I tried again or would insist on talking more. I gave in, walking over to the other side of the woodend desk.

"Your mom called me to tell me how happy she was that we are on good terms again."

"I didn't tell her that we were fighting or anything. She just assumed." Abbie slowly sat down to the chair the same time I did on the opposite side.
