A Dream Come True

Chapter 19: Connected

"So, that's why I'm here." Isabella giggles while grabbing her phone back from Clarissa.

"I'm glad you're here. I've missed you. Being with Hyunjin has been a rollercoaster of emotions. I still can't believe that it's even happening. I know that his last day here is tomorrow, I'm gonna be sad, but I'm sure he'll be sweet and comfort me when he has to go." Clarissa says to Izzy.

"Has anything else happened?" Bella asks.

"No, not really. He taught me how to play mini golf and I taught him how to skate. It was a fun day today. I wonder what we're gonna do tomorrow." Clarissa shrugs.

They both get up from their chairs and go back inside.

Han and Changbin are sitting on the couch watching a movie, Chan is in the kitchen cooking dinner, while Felix is baking cookies. Suengmin, Jeongin, and Leeknow come into the kitchen.

"Something smells good!" Leeknow exclaims as he enters the room.

"What are we having?" Suengmin asks, sitting at the counter.

"Tacos." Chan says in a sing song.

"Is it almost ready? I'm hungry!" Changbin shouts from the couch.

"It's almost ready." Chan laughs as he starts grabbing the dinnerware out of the cabinets.

Jeongin sets the table, and goes to get Hyunjin for dinner, while everyone else sits at the table to get ready to eat.

Jeongin knocks on the door, slowly opens the door and peaks his head in. Hyunjin is lying in bed on his side, looking at his phone.

"Dinner is ready." Jeongin says.

"I'll eat later. I'm not hungry right now." He says not looking away from his phone.

Jeongin nods and closes the door behind him. The maknae goes to the kitchen and sits at the table.

"Where's Hyunjin?" Felix asks while he finishes making his plate and sits next to Izzy.

"He says he's not hungry right now." He shrugs and starts making his plate as well. "He seems upset about something."

The boys look at each other in silence.

Clarissa gets up from the table and goes to see Hyunjin. She peaks in through the door like Jeongin did.

"Are you okay?" She asks Hyunjin in a quiet caring manner.

Hyunjin looks towards the door and sees Clarissa. He smiles and sits up on the bed.

"I'm alright. I just have a lot on my mind." He gestures her to sit on the bed next to him.

"Is everything okay? Do you want to talk about it?" She asks as she takes a seat.

"No, I just wanna be here with you." He says laying his head in her lap.

"That's fine. We don't have to talk about anything." She runs her fingers through his hair and smiles at him.

All of his worries disappear when she's around. He feels a close connection to Clarissa and is afraid to leave her side. He doesn't want to go back to Korea, but he knows that he has to. He's still not sure what to do, but he knows that he needs her.

He pulls her face down and they softly kiss each other a few times. Clarissa lays back on the bed, and Hyunjin lays next to her. Clarissa rests her head on his chest and he wraps her around her. They intertwine legs and just lay there, enjoying each other's presence. Both of their eyes slowly get heavy and they drift off to sleep.
