Chapter 62: Acceptance and Amends

Everyone finishes packing up their belongings and loads into the car. The car ride is silent. Everyone hasn't slept much and they're all mentally drained. They pull up to their dorm building and head upstairs. They enter into the living room and see JYP standing there. Everyone bows as they entertain the room. JYP follows suit and opens his arm away from his torso gesturing them to find a seat.

Everyone puts down their things and they each find somewhere to sit, JYP finds himself a seat as well. "Clarissa is resting in hers and Hyunjins bedroom." Hyunjins eyebrows raise as his heart quickens, but still keeps a beat. He's so close to being able to see her. "I just wanted to remind you that she's been through a lot. Just help and make sure that she gets the help and rests that she needs to recover." The boys, Renee and Izzy nod yes.

JYP slightly turns his head and looks at Renee and Chan. "I'm sorry that I didn't comment on the news that was announced earlier, a lot was just already going on and I needed time for some other things to calm down first." Renee and Chan look at JYP anxiously. Chans jaw is clenched, Renee is bouncing her leg, their hands intertwined tightly. "I did however, want to say, congratulations. I'm happy for you two. To make sure your baby gets the upmost caring, I have scheduled a doctor's appointment with our staff obstetrician." JYP hands them a piece of paper that has a date and time written on it. Renee and Chan smile at each other, then they look at JYP, their demeanor more calm. "Thank you JYP. Your approval, help and support really means a lot to the both of us." Chan says with a big smile. The three of them smile at each other and JYP stands up from his seat.

"Well, that's it from me today. You are all dismissed." Everyone exchanges bows and Hyunjin briskly walks to his bedroom to go see Clarissa, squeezing his way through everyone.

JYP feels someone put a hand on his shoulder. "Hold on boss." JYP hears a deep voice from behind him as he turns around to see Felix. "I was wanting to speak with you. Do you have a few minutes to talk." JYP nods and they go to a separate room to talk privately. "I was wondering if you could schedule me an appointment for Izzy and I, or at least a name and phone number that I can contact to schedule one." Felix says as he turns to look at JYP. JYP looks at Felix confused. "An appointment for what?" JYP asks him. "Izzy and I just want to make sure what our future holds, make sure we're prepared." JYP shows a look of surprise. Felix looks at him confused. "Just never really saw you as a plan ahead kind of guy." JYP explains. "Well for this situation, I would like to." Felix says with a shrug. JYP reaches into his wallet and pulls out a business card and gives it to Felix. Felix takes the card with a smile and looks at JYP, "thank you." He says. JYP smiles with nod and they each bow before parting ways.

Hyunjin opens the door and pokes his head in. He sees Clarissa lying in bed under the covers. He quietly enters in the room and closes the door behind him. He walks towards the bed and sits next to her. He lightly rests his hand on her side, Clarissa feels his touch and slowly turns over in the bed. Her eyes widen as she notices that it's Hyunjin sitting next to her. She sits up so fast and hugs him. Hyunjin wraps his arms around her and tears swell into his eyes as they hold each other tight. They sit in each other's embrace silently. Hyunjins and Clarissa's eyes start to swell with tears. Both being in each other's presence again, they both feel full and alive.

Clarissa pulls out of the hug and kisses Hyunjin deeply and passionately, her hands holding his face. She missed the feeling of his lips against hers. She gives him a couple more gentle kisses before pulling away from his tender lips. "You need to be careful." He says to her with a slight chuckle as he holds her hand. "I'm so excited to see you. I don't care if I hurt myself right now. All I've been wanting is you." She notices his bruised cheek and black eye. "What happened?" She asks. "Jeongin got mad at me for not protecting you." She frowns and kisses him again, this time, a much more gentle kiss. Her hands resting on his chest and shoulder, Hyunjins lips meet with hers and he kisses her back just as gentle as she does, his hand resting on her thigh; the other in between the crook of her neck and her cheek. They continue to exchange a few more sweet kisses.

Hyunjin pulls away from Clarissa and bites his lip as he looks down and sighs. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry that I wasn't there for you, I should've been there to protect you. If I was there, none of this would've happened." Hyunjin explains as he looks at Clarissa. She takes her thumb and strokes it against Hyunjins cheek as she lets out a sigh. "Hyunjin honey, none of this is your fault. You did nothing wrong. Even if we thought we were being safe and did everything right, Dakota probably would've still done what he did." Hyunjin grabs her hand that was gliding across his cheek and kisses the back of it when there's a knock on the door.

"Who is it?" Hyunjin asks loudly from the bed. "Jeongin." Hyunjin glares at Clarissa out of the side of his eyes. "Answer the door." Clarissa tells him, Hyunjin rolls his eyes and groans as he pulls himself off the bed to open the door. Hyunjin closes his eyes and takes a deep breath before opening the door. "Hey. What's up?" Hyunjin asks him. "Can I come in?" Jeongin asks. Hyunjin moves out of the entryway and lets him in. Jeongin stands in the middle of the room as Hyunjin sits back down next to Clarissa. "I wanted to apologize. I'm sorry for the way that I've been acting and I'm not expecting you to forgive me anytime soon, but I do hope that with some time you'll be able to." Jeongin explains, as he twiddles with his thumbs. Clarissa and Hyunjin look at each other. "I accept your apology, but you're right. You're going to need to be patient with me when it comes to forgiveness." Jeongin nods, "I understand. Thank you for accepting my apology." Jeongin looks over towards Clarissa. "I'm sorry for hitting Hyunjin in the face, and I'm sorry for what happened to you. I hope you get better soon." Jeongin says to Clarissa. "Thank you for your apologies." Clarissa says to him. Jeongin bows and starts to head for the door.

"Wait." Jeongin hears Clarissa say. He stops walking and turns around. He sees Clarissa start to wince as she slowly gets herself up off of the bed. "Clary baby, what are you doing? You need to rest." Hyunjin says with urgency. "I've been resting, getting up for a little while is good sometimes." She finishes getting up off of the bed and stands in front of Jeongin. They look at each other in silence. Jeongin looks into her eyes, "Yes, Clarissa?" Jeongin asks with his hands in his pockets. Clarissa smiles and kisses him.
