They finish their boating ride and walk down the river, once again hand in hand. "So.." Cheyenne starts to speak hesitantly. She looks at Han and quickly looks away. "N-never mind." She stutters. Han slightly tightens his grip on her hand and looks at her. "It's okay. You can ask me anything." He says calmly. Cheyenne sighs, "you just told me not to worry about your money, but it just makes me think..." Cheyenne pauses.
Han squeezes her hand again. Cheyenne takes a deep breath. "When I became a surrogate for Ran Hana, I went through a physical, I talked to psychiatrists, blood work, family and health history, all the normal things. I did all of that as well, but there was extra paperwork. I had to sign something that I wouldn't talk about the couple that I'm being a surrogate for or anything about their personal life. It seemed kind of sketchy at first, but the pay was so good I couldn't say no. I had to make up a story to tell Ran Hana." She stops walking and looks at Han. "Why all the secrecy?" She asks him.
Han can feel his ears burning as his face turns red. "You don't know who we are, do you?" Cheyenne furrows her eyebrows in confusion and shakes her head no. "How long have you been in Korea again?" He asks her as he gently rubs on her arm to continue the walk. "Mmmm.. A year I think." She answers with a shrug. "Did you ever listen to any KPop before coming here?" He asks her hesitantly. "Very little BTS, but that's it. Why? Are you guys a KPop group or something?" Cheyenne nervously chuckles as she asks the question. She looks over at Han who is silent. "Well are you?" She asks again. Han clears his throat and gives her a side eye. Cheyenne gasps as her mouth widens. She playfully punches him in the arm, "you totally are! This is so exciting! Who are you guys?!" She asks elatedly. Han chuckles and squeezes her hand and she instantly calms down. "I'm sorry. This is just exciting!" She whispers.
Han smiles and looks at her, "To answer your question, our group is called Stray Kids. You'll have to look us up sometime." He answers with a smile. "We're actually quite big now, I'm surprised that you didn't know about us." He continues to explain. Cheyenne shrugs, "I don't know, but I'll be sure to look you up. Stray Kids." She says. Han nods and looks at the Horizon. The sun was almost completely set. "What time were you thinking we should leave?" Cheyenne asks, as she to noticed that the sun has almost fully set. "Why? You want to be done for the day? I had one more thing planned for us." Han says. "No! I just wasn't sure what the plan was."
They silently walk a few more yards and Cheyenne notices small lights in the distance. "What is that?" She asks quietly. Han doesn't answer but continues walking next to her. They get closer and the lights become more clear. They arrive to a white blanket laid out on the grass with lit candles surrounding the area. Kimbap, Kimchi and Yubu Chobap set throughout the blanket, surrounded by red rose petals. Cheyenne gasps with her hand covering her mouth as she looks at Han. "This is amazing!" She exclaims. She sits down and thanks him for the food before digging in.
Han sits across from her and begins to eat as well. "How did you manage to put this together?" Cheyenne asks. "That phone call that I was on when you came out of the restroom, I was talking to someone on my staff about setting it up for me." Cheyenne nods, "the food is delicious. Compliments to the chef." She says. "Why thank you." Han says with a cheeky smile. "You made this?" She asks surprised as she points to the food. Han nods his head yes. Cheyenne throws her head back. "You seem too good to be true." She says as she takes another bite. Han chuckles at her comment.
"So what was your life in the states like?" Han asks as he rests back onto one of his hands, "you said that you have nothing left over there anymore. What happened?" Cheyenne takes a drink of water before speaking. "I didn't really have one. I didn't have any friends. I never even lived anywhere long enough to make any friends." She looks at Han. She looks into his eyes, and can see the love and tenderness that he holds. She feels safe with him. "I was found outside of a fire station. There was no note. It was just me, wrapped in a blanket laying in a basket. I grew up in foster homes. I'm not really sure why I went from house to house. No one wanted me, and I don't know why." She continues explaining while looking at Han.
BOOM!!!
Cheyenne jumps and looks towards the sky. It was a firework! A couple seconds later and another one went up into the sky and exploded. The fireworks continued in the background as Cheyenne looked at Han with a big smile. "You did this, didn't you?" She asks him, her stomach full of butterflies. Han nods his head and rests his hand on hers.
They look into each other's eyes and slowly lean in closer, their lips almost touching. Hans heart is racing and his mouth suddenly goes dry. He licks his lips quickly when suddenly, Cheyennes lips have met his. "So soft and tender." He thought, his stomach roaring of waves and his legs going numb.
Cheyenne pulls away from his lips and looks at him. "Thank you." She says to him. "For what?" He asks with a smirk. "For making Korea a great place to live again," she says as she bites her lip. Cheyenne was driving him insane, and he couldn't take it anymore.
