Chapter 54: A Threat or a Promise

As Hyunjin stares at the message, he knows who it is. He throws his phone in anger. Han walks over to pick up his phone and sees everything. Han stands there in disbelief. "Oh my god." He runs inside and leaves to get Chan. Hyunjin just sits there, wide eyed with tears running down his face. His hands on both sides of his head. He's terrified, worried and heart broken. He doesn't know what to say, but then he lets out a yell no one has ever heard before, then he screams "HOW DID HE FIND US!? WHY WON'T HE LEAVE HER ALONE!!!?"

Han finds Chan in the kitchen who is finishing up the sandwiches. He shows him the video and message on Hyunjin's phone. Chans eyes widen as his jaw drops. "SHIT!" Chan shouts as he walks off to call JYP and inform him of her kidnapping. As he's on the phone Han feels Hyunjin's phone vibrate in his hand. He raises it to look at it. It was another message from the unknown number.

Unknown:
If you come looking for her, I promise I'll kill her 😏"

Han lets out the loudest gasp as his jaw drops and cups his hand over his mouth. His raises his eyebrows as panic fills his eyes. "CHAN! CHAN!! CHAN!!!" He yells louder and louder. He rushes through the house to find him. He finds Chan still on the phone with JYP. Everyone comes rushing into the living area after hearing all of the shouting. "What's going on?" Felix asks as he enters the room, throwing on his shirt. Han shows him the messages. Felix starts panicking and takes Izzy to his room to explain to her what's going on.

"What's happening?" Seungmin asks. "Who is Chan on the phone with? Where's Hyunjin?" He continues asking questions, noticing that Han and Chan look terrified. Han holds up his finger to everyone, as if to say one moment. He shows Chan the new message. Chan immediately starts freaking out and goes to his room for privacy. "Will someone please tell us what's going on?!" Leeknow asks rather loudly.

Chan exits his room. "Everyone, pack your bags. We're staying with JYP and the staff. No one is safe here." No one moves a muscle. They stand there silent. Waiting for an explanation. Jeongin especially. Chan sighs. "Dakota has kidnapped Clarissa. He sent a text and a video to Hyunjin's phone. He has her strapped to a bed, wearing nothing but her under clothes. He recently sent another text saying that if we go looking for her, he'll kill her." The room goes more quiet than before. So quiet that you could hear a needle land on the floor.

Jeongin is filled with rage, hate and fear. "Where's Hyunjin?!" He asks angrily. Chan and Han don't answer, trying to avoid conflict between the two. Han motions his eyes to the front door, hoping that Jeongin doesn't notice. Jeongin storms to the front door and swings it open, not closing it behind him. He finds Hyunjin lying on the ground, distraught. Sobbing so loudly that the whole town could hear him if there was one around him. "YOU DID THIS." Jeongin yells at him as he approaches. Hyunjin looks up and sees Jeongin storming towards him. He gets up off the ground and starts to back away, feeling threatened. "How the hell is this my fault?" Hyunjin tries to stay calm, hoping things don't get worse.

Everyone briskly makes their way outside. Watching the altercation to make sure nothing too crazy happens. Jeongin picks up the pace and makes his way right in front of Hyunjin. Standing inches away from him. "YOU SAID THAT YOU WERE GOING TO PROTECT HER. YOU SAID THAT NOTHING WAS GOING TO HAPPEN TO HER. YOU SAID THAT SHE'S YOUR EVERYTHING, THAT YOU LOVE HER AND THAT SHE WOULD BE SAFE!!!" Jeongin yells in his face. Harshly poking into his chest with each 'you' that he says.

Hyunjin goes to speak and defend himself, but before he could get a word out, he finds himself on the ground. Landing hard on his back. Hard enough that the wind gets knocked out of him. Jeongin pushed him down. Jeongin goes to hover over him but feels someone holding him back. One person isn't enough, and Jeongin breaks free of the hold and lunges his way on top of Hyunjin that he is sitting on top of him. He lands a few punches before being pulled back by Chan, Leeknow and Changbin.

Hyunjin slowly sits up and holds his face with his hand. Wincing from the pain that is filling his cheekbone and eye. Jeongin is fighting his way free. "This isn't you! Stop Jeongin!! This isn't the way to handle this!" Leeknow shouts. Everyone else tries to calm him down, they then notice that someone is standing in between Hyunjin and Jeongin. It was Izzy.

Izzy's face is red. Her eyes puffy with multiple tear strands falling down her cheeks. She stands there sobbing. She then covers her face with her hands. "Please. Please stop this. My best friend is missing and this is not the way to be handling this. She's scared and being traumatized. You're not acting any better than Dakota right now." She says, revealing her face and looking at Jeongin. "This is what he wants. He wants us to turn onto each other. Please stop the violence. Don't give in. This is not what Clarissa would want. Think about her.." Izzy reaches out and touches Jeongins cheek.

Jeongin breaks down into tears. The three boys look at each other and nod in agreement that they can let him go. Jeongin falls into Izzy, and they hug each other. Both crying into each other.

The others help Hyunjin off the ground and go inside to treat his injuries and to start packing their things to go stay with JYP and the staff.
