A Dream Come True

Chapter 23: Gone Away

Clarissa wakes up alone, in bed. She rubs her eyes and looks around the room. Her heart drops. All of Hyunjins stuff is gone, but there's a note on the desk.

"Sorry that I didn't wake you to say goodbye, you just looked so peaceful. I didn't want to disturb you. I requested a late check out time cause I wasn't sure what time you would wake up, so you don't have to leave the hotel until 2PM. Thank you for the best three days of my life.

Her eyes fill with tears, but stops them from falling. "Why are you crying Clarissa? You shouldn't have expected more from him. Like he would've invited you to Korea with him when he's a big KPop idol. He probably has flings all the time and is nice to every single one, like he was with me." She thinks to herself as she tries to not cry, grab in her belongings. She notices that she's still in the clothes that she slept in last night. "Well, at least I get to keep some of his clothes I guess." She sighs and heads down to the lobby and out the front door.

She takes her phone to call Bella for a ride.

"Hello?" Bella answers.

"Hey, I'm outside of the hotel. Can you come pick me up?" Clarissa tries to sound cheery.

"Yeah, I'll be there soon."

Clarissa thanks her and hangs up the phone. She can't help but be stuck in her own thoughts.

"Why didn't he say goodbye? He honestly could've woke me up. Why didn't he at least give me his number? I don't see the harm in that. Felix gave Izzy his number. Maybe he just didn't care about me."

A few minutes later Isabella pulls up and Clarissa gets in the car.

The car ride is silent for a few minutes.

"Are you okay?" Isabella asks Clarissa.

Clarissa sighs, "Yeah, just tired from a long weekend."

"How did everything go?"

"It went good. He left me his phone number so we can still try to talk like you and Felix." Clarissa says trying to avoid more conversation about Hyunjin. Her heart hurt.

Izzy smiles with a nod, continuing the drive to Clarissa's house.

They get to the parking lot of Clarissa's apartment complex, "Do you want me to come in?" Izzy asks her getting ready to park.

"Uhm, no. I just wanna relax and be with Danger. I haven't been with him in a while."

Izzy nods and drives away when Clarissa gets out of the car.

Clarissa goes up to her apartment, gives Danger food and sits on the couch. Danger jumps up and snuggles on her chest, and rests his head in crook of her neck. She breaks down crying.

"Why? Did I scare him off with the virginity thing? Was he not interested in me but acted like he was? I just don't understand." She picks up Danger and looks at him. He's so cute she can't help but smile. "At least I have you." She kisses him and snuggles him some more. She lays on the couch with her cat and falls asleep.

She wakes up hours later. Hungry, but no appetite. She just lays there, on the couch; sulking. Still thinking about why the fuck he did what he did.

She continues to cry and cry. She can't help it. They were so close and did things that she's never done with any other man.

She falls back asleep into a depressed state. She's so sad. Her heart is so broken.
