Chapter 52: A Love Triangle?

Back at the house Hyunjin leaves the room to find Clarissa to give Jeongin some space, hoping he'll calm down. He notices that Clarissa is gone and sees Chan sitting on the couch with Renee. "Where's Clarissa?" Hyunjin asks the two of them. Renee shrugs, not really knowing where she was. She was too busy unpacking when Clarissa asked Chan earlier if she could go to the store. Renee looks at Chan, waiting for an answer. "She went to the store," Hyunjin interrupts him, "what the hell Chan?! Why did you do that? She's not allowed alone. Do you know what could happen to her?!" Hyunjin asks with a loud, irritated tone with his eyebrows raised. "If you would've let me finish, you know that she's not alone. She's with Han." Chan explains.

Chan looks at Hyunjin, he can tell that he is calming down now. Hyunjin pulls out his phone to get a hold of Clarissa. "If you're going to try and call or text her, she won't get it. JYP took her phone for protection purposes." Hyunjin throws his head back in disappointment and groans. "I guess I'll just have to trust that Han will take care of her." Hyunjin puts his phone back in his pocket and goes back to his small, cramped room.

He enters the room and sees Jeongin lying on his bed made out of blankets on the floor. Hyunjin sits on the bed and lays down. He catches Jeongin giving him a glare. Hyunjin sits up on the bed, legs hanging over the edge so he's facing towards Jeongin. "Do you mind explaining to me why you've been the way you've been?" Hyunjin asks him with a sigh. Jeongin sits up and folds his legs, his hands clasped together, resting in his lap. He takes a deep breath. "Are you sure that you want to know? You may not like what you have to hear." Hyunjin raised an eyebrow in confusion. "Just tell me. I can handle it." Jeongin looks down at his hands. "Alright then. I like Clarissa." The room is silent for a few seconds. "I'm sorry, what?" Hyunjin asks, making sure that he hears him right. Jeongin looks at Hyunjin with a small smirk. "I like Clarissa." Hyunjin can feel his heart started to race. "As a friend?" He asks for clarification. Jeongin chuckles. "No." Hyunjin is too stunned and upset to speak. He gets up off the bed and leaves the room to talk to Chan about switching rooms.

Han and Clarissa arrive at the store and start grabbing the items that they need into a cart. Han notices that Clarissa is fidgeting a lot, pacing back and forth nearby. "Is something wrong?" He asks her. "I just really need to go to the restroom." She says, crossing her legs. Han slightly turns red and giggles a little. "Go to the bathroom." He says. "What about Dakota?" Clarissa asks concerned. "I don't think he knows where we are. He has no way to track you." Han says continuing to put items into the cart. Clarissa nods and briskly heads towards the restroom.

Han continues to shop down the aisle and notices a wet floor sign and begins to be cautious as he walks. He feels someone fall into him and catches her underneath her arms. He helps her up back onto her feet. She has curly shoulder length blonde hair and blue eyes. She was wearing a grey cashmere sweater and a pair of black leggings with some white sneakers. She was just slightly shorter than him. Even though she has a pregnant belly, she was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. "Thank you for catching me. I was so busy looking for what I needed, I didn't even see the wet floor sign." Han bows out of respect and just continues to look at her, slightly red in his cheeks. "No problem." Was all he could say, he was at a loss for words from her beauty.

Han was about to ask for her name when he feels an urgent tap on his shoulder. He turns around and sees Clarissa, fear covered her face. "We need to go. Now." She had a desperate tone in her voice. Han nods and turns to look back at the woman. "It was lovely to meet you miss." The woman smiles and the two quickly walk past her. Clarissa clings to Hans arm as they head for the checkout stand. They finish purchasing the food and walk out of the store. Clarissa starts to pick up the pace, continuously looking watching her back. "Are you okay?" Han asks concerned. "I saw Dakota in the store. I don't know if he saw me, but I saw him. I knew we had to get out of there." Clarissa explains frantically. Han looks behind them, he doesn't see any movement. "I think we made it out before he noticed us." Clarissa stays clinging to Han for comfort and to ensure that she doesn't lose him.

They made it back to the house safely, not seeing or hearing from Dakota. They get up to the door and hear some slight confrontation on the other side. They enter in the house and see Chan sitting on the couch with his head in his hands while Hyunjin and Jeongin are exchanging words in the middle of the closed off family room. Clarissa quickly locks the doors and makes sure that all of the windows are locked as well, then closes the curtains before she finds out what's going on. Han goes to the kitchen to put away the groceries.

She goes and stands next to Hyunjin, she grabs his hand. The feeling of her touch is just enough to help Hyunjin calm down and he takes deep breathes. He looks at Clarissa and gives her a deep kiss. She kisses him back, shocked at the sudden intimacy. "What was that for?" She blushes as they pull away. "I'm just simply showing what is mine." Hyunjin looks at Jeongin, who is obviously a little hurt and irritated that Hyunjin is rubbing her in his face.

Everyone is silent for a few seconds. "Uhm, what's going on?" Clarissa pipes in, leaning closer to Hyunjin. Hyunjin looks at Jeongin, "well, tell her." He demands. Jeongin just shrugs and sighs. "Fine. I'll tell her." Hyunjin looks at Clarissa. "Tell me what?" She asks with her eyebrows raised. "Jeongin likes you."
