Chapter 49: Unnerving News

"I'm ready to talk." Chan says to Renee who is slowly sitting up out of bed. Chan puts his hands on her shoulders and gently pushes her back down in bed. "No no baby. You don't need to get up." Renee again rubs her eyes and nods. "So what's up?" Her voice sounds groggy from being sleepy. "I'm sorry for the way that I reacted and for leaving. I went for a walk to think about everything. I was at Han River and there were couples everywhere. Smiling, goofing around. I then saw a woman alone with her little boy and a baby. The little boy was upset cause she couldn't buy him ice cream. It broke my heart seeing him sad and watching the woman struggle. I ended up buying them both ice cream. It made me realize that life can be hard without help and support. Hell, I wouldn't be where I am today if I didn't have help and support." Chan holds Renee's hand. "I want us to have this baby." Renee sits up quickly and lunges to Chan, giving him a big hug. "Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you!!" She says in his ear with a big smile on her face, still hugging him. He chuckles as he hugs her back. She pulls out of the hug and gives him kisses all over his face. Chan laughs at her cuteness.

Renee finishes giving him kisses, even though he deserves way more. "So what do we do now?" She asks him still grinning. "Well, we need to schedule a doctor's appointment and tell JYP. I would prefer if we kept this a secret from the other members until we see the doctor and JYP." Renee nods in approval. Chan climbs over her body and lays next to her, patting the spot behind Renee gesturing her to lay down. Renee giggles and lies next to him. They look into each other's eyes, both filled with happiness. Chan looks at Renee's stomach and rests his hand on it, smiling. "I'm excited for our future." Chan says as he kisses Renee. "Me too." Renee blushes. They cuddle up to each other close and drift off to sleep.

The next morning Hyunjin wakes up in bed and hears loud bangs in the kitchen. "Oh goodness." He hears someone say with irritation in their voice. He then hears another thing drop to the ground. "God, I try to something nice for everyone and I end up making a lot of noise and a big mess." He again hears someone say from the other room.

Hyunjin gets up to the commotion and goes to see what's going on. Jeongin is in the kitchen wearing a black T-shirt with great sweatpants, slippers and a flower print apron, he was also covered in rice flour. It was all over his clothes, face and even in his hair. Hyunjin approaches him while rubbing his eyes. "What's going on in here?" Jeongin replies, "I was trying to make breakfast, JYP called earlier and said he was coming over. He had some news for all of us and from the tone of his voice it didn't sound too good. So I wanted to the day to start out decent for everyone. Obviously that's not going so well." Hyunjin looks worried. What kind of news would he have to tell everyone all together? As they patiently wait for the arrival of JYP,

Hyunjin goes to the kitchen to help Jeongin cook breakfast. "What are you trying to make?" He asks the maknae. "Pajeon." Jeongin replies. They finish making breakfast and Hyunjin starts to set the table. "I'm going to go wash up before JYP gets here." Hyunjin nods and goes to wake everyone up for breakfast. As they all gather around the table, Hyunjin updates everyone on what was going on. Everyone sits quietly at the table in their own thoughts as they start to eat.

JYP then enters the dorm. "Hello everyone." Everybody gets up from the table and bows to greet him. JYP follows their actions. "I would like for you all to sit down, the news that I have for you is startling." Everyone sits back down at the table in the seats they were in before, with a worried look on their faces. "We've been keeping track of Dakota for Clarissa's safety, and well," JYP takes a deep breath. "We have reports that he's back in the city again. We need to move all of you to another location to make sure everyone is safe, because we have no idea what he's capable of."

Clarissa starts sobbing in fear, Hyunjin instantly in a fit of rage storms off to his room. "We'll be leaving in about 2 hours. Please gather whatever belongings you need and we will have security transport you guys to a remote location." Everyone sits in silence as JYP exits the dorm.

Clarissa gets up from the table and goes to Hyunjins room. She enters and sees him frantically packing, walking briskly around the room, grabbing things from left and right. He stops and flips the suitcase using his hands out of rage. "WHY THE HELL DID HE COME BACK HERE?!" Clarissa just stares at him, frozen in the doorway. She's never seen him so angry before. Hyunjin sees Clarissa in the doorway. She's standing still not moving, crying so hard that she can hardly breathe. He takes a giant step towards her and holds her tightly in his arms. He guides her into the bedroom and closes the door, still holding her tight. Feeling the energy from her, he starts to cry. He can't stand the sight of her so broken. It's like his whole world is falling apart just from her sadness. He starts to cry and pulls out of the hug, he places her face in his hands. "I swear to you, he will not lay a finger on you. You are my life and I will not let anything happen to you. I'm going to keep you safe. I promise. I love you baby. He's going to get what's coming to him." Clarissa falls into his chest, sobbing. Her head is telling her that she's safe, but in her heart she's terrified of what's to come. She's afraid for her life.
