Chapter TWENTY THREE

(ZAIN'S POV)

Her golden brown skin was clothed in a glinting royal blue silk dress that perfectly molded her beautiful body like an attachment. She captured my eyes in such delight. Her sweet lips was coated in dark cherry red lipstick as her body moves right towards us. Thandeka was silently surprised by the design of Larona's dress.

"My beautiful lady is back." Dean noticed Larona's appearance and his statement annoyed me a little bit in such sense. She greeted Thandeka respectfully but purposely ignored myself. This was an instant recognition that she is upset with me and truthfully I understood why.

Even though other strangers was sitting with us in awaiting for the event program to start, Larona was sitting across my view with Dean being by her side. She smiled around and enjoys herself without looking at me. My focus then turned to Thandeka and we had our own precious time talking.

"Zee, How are you feeling right now?" she politely asked me. Thandeka's nickname for me caught Larona's ears which then she looks at me with such silent jealousy. I chuckled from secretly realizing how this is affecting her feelings but since well she also got a man, why not entertain my own lady at this moment. She got to be strong on this one.

I gave all my attention to Thandeka and made her feel special for tonight until Larona suddenly touches Dean to closely whisper in his ear in a sexy manner. The vision ticked me off internally as I watch her hand touches his clothes as if she wanted to get fucked right now.

I looked back to Thandeka and gave a kiss on her cheek while I shower her with compliments regarding her outfit. Thandeka continues to call me by the nickname as she reciprocated my energy with feminine love. Our flirting was heating up in the eyes of Larona and in this unspoken actions that was taking place, Rex started to laugh in noticing what's really going on.

It wasn't awkward but for those who can read between the lines, they had known how this situation is brewing into something else. My hand started to brush off Thandeka's beautiful weave and asked her if she wants something to eat. Larona noticed my reaction and from that exact point, I could tell that she might lose her cool at any moment from now.

She whispers to Dean to excuse herself again because she wasn't feeling "physically okay." Dean understood the concern and offered a cab to send her back to their hotel. She gladly accepted it and both of them stood up to leave.

My heart felt heavy by seeing them leave together but when I looked at her exposed sexy leg from the dress's slit, I noticed my diamond anklet on her ankle. A smirk appears on my face discreetly and I kept my cool throughout the night.

Rex was observant so much that I had to call him for a private chat and he agreed to come with me while we excused ourselves from the table. "You're becoming a lonely creep for no reason Rex. Why on earth are your facial expression exposing what's hidden behind the scenes?" I asked him.

"I'm sorry man. It's just that.. I can't believe that you're actually into another man's woman this way. This is unlike you my brother. I mean are you that determined to get her in bed?" Rex responded while he gave a short laugh. I softly laughed back and gave him a little update on what he said.

"From man to man, I'd like to notify you that she's already mine. She currently wore the diamond anklet I gifted her at my office."

Rex was stunned by the recent information and had said. "You guys already had sex? In your office?"

"I've been fucking her on the low." I confessed. "So here's what I'd like  a favor from you to happen right now. Stay for my behalf on this special night. If the Don appoints me, you should let his people know that I had a serious family emergency, I needed to excuse myself for." I said in hope that he will agree helping me.

Rex stares at myself to discover how serious I am on this conversation which leads him to ask me another question." Are you going after her since well she's not okay with You being all over Thandeka? "

" I have to check up on her. Broski. I know why she's behaving like this." I said in discretion. "Aweh man. Do your thing, I'll stay on guard for Dean and everything else that will unfold in your absence." Rex said to reassure his loyalty.

We both got to see Dean coming back the building from where we were standing which became the perfect time to disappear without anyone else realizing.

I got into my car and drove to her hotel.
