Chapter FORTY SIX

** A Few Months Later. **

Back in Seshego township, Larona's baby bump was slightly exposed. She was 5 months since the day she conceived. The pressure of hiding her pregnancy from her parents was becoming difficult to remain discreet.

She was inside her bathroom while cleaning herself until she hears someone coming inside. She assumed that the person inside the bathroom was her little sister. She wondered where was a dry towel so that she can dry herself up from taking a bath. She normally walked naked in aim for searching for a clean towel however to her immediate shock, she realized that the person who caught her in sight. "Mama..." she nervously called her mother while looking at each other .

Larona's mother was out of words with what she saw from her elderst daughter. Her swollen stomach had a dark line and it stunned her. The stand off between mother and daughter from starring was intense to a point that Larona decided to break the ice by saying, "Mom, I can explain."

Her mother was not haven't it with her daughter therefore she places the clean towels silently and walked out like she'll never return. This act made Larona more nervous however she had to communicate with her regardless of what just happened.

Larona quickly dried herself with one of the towels and marches to follow her mother's foot steps. "Mama Mmaa!" she calls her from behind whilst following her. Her mother stopped walking and had the courage to face her pregnant daughter.

"How long you've been pregnant?" she strictly asked Larona. Larona was caught off guard by the question and chose to be quiet. This behavior made her mother upset. "I don't remember raising a mime inside my house. So speak up and answer the damn question!?!" she snapped.

"It's been 5 months. Mom." Larona instantly answered her. The mother carefully looks at how her daughter wrapped herself with a towel and then said "Take the towel off, I want to see it again."

"but Mom we're standing in the passage of the house. What if Dad walks inside and finds me naked in front of you?" she asked in a manner of showing worry. "He's not coming home anytime soon so it's just you and me. Drop the towel Larona." her mother strictly instructs her daughter one last time.

Larona was scared of how this situation is unfolding. Even though she felt afraid, she quietly did what her mother told her to do. She stood naked in front of her mother and this was the opportunity for her mother to absorb what she sees.

When her mother had seen enough, she picks up the towel for Larona to cover herself again. From feeling emotional over what she saw, she sheds a few tears and looks at Larona.

"Why didn't you tell me that you're pregnant? Why did you hide this from your own mother? You pretended that you were having a mild fever from time to time only to find out that my first born is hiding a pregnancy from her own mother. I am hurt Larona that you did not care enough to allow me as your parent to be aware of this so that I can be there for you as my daughter. You never planned to disclose this. The mere fact that I saw this surprisingly, it breaks my heart and I don't know how I can react from this. Here's what you will do from now on, you will go to your bedroom and dress up. Later tonight, you and I are going to talk about this. I don't want to hear any excuse from that mouth of yours. "

Larona remained still as she processes what her mother had said to her. She nodded her head in agreeing with her directives. A feel of shame was making her feel emotional too. She respectfully removes herself from her mother's presence and goes back to her room.

The moment she had entered the bedroom, she began to sob. It was hours of crying and sniffing which was noticed by her little sister when she entered the bedroom after some time.

"ohh no. Sesi(sister) why are you crying? Are you okay? What is wrong?" she asked her big sister while comforting her with cuddles. "She found out." Larona cried. Olerato realized who Larona was referring to and then carried on rubbing her sister's backside in showing comfort.

"how did she take it?" she asked Larona. "She was disappointed with how she found out. She caught me naked inside the bathroom. She even told me that tonight we will meet and talk about it. I'm scared that she will eventually tell Dad. The last thing I want is to be left homeless without support. " she replied with a broken heart.

"No no Sesi. She cannot do that to you especially when she knows how you are right now. Mom is just surprised that's all. Maybe by the time when you guys have a private conversation, she will understand." Olerato encourages Larona. "I stripped off the towel in front of her.. She ordered me to do so. Just imagine what kind of energy I'll get from her after going through that." Larona spoke to her little sister which made Olerato be stunned from what she just heard.

"She did that to you? Oh wow.. Sis listen, I know that our mom can act a little crazy sometimes but damn that was cold of her." Olerato commented.

Larona sighed in sadness and worry for what is to come. The waiting to meet up with her mother at a certain time was making her feel anxious. All she could do at this point was to sincerely hope for the best but prepare for the worst outcome from that meeting.
