Their relationship was reconciled, and they decided to proceed with getting married. Zain took care of handling the crime scene that happened in his house thereafter sells the house to move in with Larona. He created a narrative to fake the situation of Thandeka's death for the sake of her family to have the right to lay her rest with dignity.  A few months later, baby Diamond and Zain had the chance to form a relationship. Zain was madly in love with his first child. He was enjoying fatherhood and being supportive to Larona by any means to keep her happy and at ease. Larona came downstairs to join him and their baby. "My lovely family." She greets them with a small kiss. Thereafter, Zain kissed her lips which made the baby react in a joyful manner. Zain and Larona laughed while witnessing this beautiful moment. 

"I cannot wait to marry you." Zain mentions it to the mother of his child. Larona smiles back and asked him this, "How are we going to get married in a righteous way when everything in my life has changed completely bad?" Zain softly laughs at her humor but understood what she meant. He responded by saying, " Being in a mafia world is darker than you think. The crazy killings and shooting are endless especially when it comes to wealth and loyalty. Unfortunately, you witnessed how it is as a woman who's dating one of the clans. There's every rule to this life and when it comes to welcoming a new bride to the legacy, there's certain traditions that I am nervous about if you're sure to accept being my wife." Larona kept quiet for a moment and then asked, "What is expected of me when I choose to get married with you in this kind of world?" Zain looks at Larona and gently gives her the baby. While Larona continues to nurture her little one, Zain started to answer that question. 

"There is something that every woman born and raised within the mafia life, were taught about from their fathers and sometimes mothers. This is what we call The Trial. It is a phase where a woman will go through certain practices that rules how you present yourself as a wife under my name while we welcome you as our official bride of my family. The first step is cleansing our bodies before we move forward to get married. The second step the groom's parents question the upcoming bride's intentions to see if you are approved to join the family and earn my surname. The third step is knowing the code of conduct as the official wife." 

Larona looked confused but attentive to how this might further change in her life if she chooses to marry Zain. Her mind took notice of the biggest sacrifice of her life while being well aware that her family's values are against this kind of life. It seems like Heaven within Hell in this dark life. Larona was also aware that if she decides to carry on with this it means that she cannot be in contact with her own family as she likes to because enemies that are against Zain or his family never get tired to cause danger. While Larona continues to reflect her thoughts, she finally had a chance to speak up her conclusion. "I want to be your wife."

 Zain kindly stares at her and then came closer to her. "You are certain about living the life that I live baby?" he asked. Larona responded by these words. "I am sure about it. I cannot go back to my old life anymore. I think it's best I keep my distance from my family while I focus on my own family. Maybe when the right time comes, they will meet Diamond. Right now, I'd love to go forward with us. " Soon after that their agreement was on set with a conclusion to kiss.

Shortly after that Mrs. Baghat visits the couple. They welcomed her and the maid arrived with a large glass of fruit juice, with fruit salads in small bowls for variety. Emelda thanked the maid and proceeds to speak to Zain and Larona. "I am pleased to see you together again. I heard the news of Thandeka's death, that fake storyline was just too funny for me." Emelda shortly laughs from saying that. "Mom, how can we help you?" Zain interjected. "Well, my darlings I'm here to find out if we are moving forward with wedding preparations or not." Emelda gladly answers her son. "Mrs. Emelda Zain and I have been talking about it a short while ago and there is something that needs to be mentioned." Larona nervously spoke and Emelda was eager to listen. 

"Mom, we cannot approach Larona's family because they are law abiding citizens. Their religion cannot accept the kind of life we are living. So, we thought about approaching the other way to authorize our marriage in the family legacy. I thought maybe you can help us by talking to father about it." Zain explains to his mother which then made her to understand their plea. "I will let my husband know that son. Larona, are you ready to face the ruthless game forever? I must tell you darling, the women you might come across with in future events, are worse than how Thandeka was. So, my piece of advice to you is, be a boss lady while making sure that such women don't mess with your name. After all, you will join the Baghat family but be warned Larona, we do not approve sisses as the wife. " Emelda replied. Larona chuckles at the statement and said, "There is only one future Mrs Radebe and I can't wait to be his wife. "
