CHAPTER FIFTY

"Miss Thandeka, please forgive me for interrupting you however this needs your attention." a servant alerts the daughter of the Don. "Yes, Mary what seems to be a problem?" She replied. "Madam, I was told that the newly appointed Under Boss will plan to make an official meeting with his elders about wanting to marry a lady called Larona." The servant explained. Thandeka's face was not telling a pleasant expression. The thought of her long time friend whom she secretly wants to be with has moved on to such a step that was deeply upsetting her. She stood up from her massage seat and ordered other ladies to stop pampering her beauty routine. "That is not all, madam." the servant notifies the master. "A trusted source from Mr. Radebe's family has been informed that Larona is pregnant hence He seems determined to marry her." 

"Thank you Mary for the update." Thandeka strictly concludes the small chat. She was secretly following every move of Zain since disappearing from the gala event up to date. Her emotions brew into envy by the thought of Zain falling in love with another woman either than her. She kept on praying that her father's motive to get her married from a wealthy connected family like the Baghat family will strongly solidify the legacy inside the world of mafia. Not only that, their friendship was close as if it seemed destined that they belonged to be together. The sudden news of Larona's pregnancy that was a private matter, it shocked her unexpectedly. All this time the beautiful Thandeka was committed in finding out the state of her secret lover's life in hope to make a move on him one day. "There's no way in hell, I will allow her to steal Zee from me." She thought out loud. 

"Who are you talking about?" an interrupted voice echoed while he approaches to Thandeka. It was Mr. Vilakazi who came to see his daughter. "Father, I didn't see you coming by." Thandeka nervously welcomes her father's presence. "It's good to see you my princess. So are you going to answer my question or perhaps I must forget about what I've heard?" Mr.Vilakazi asked his daughter. "Actually no father, we need to talk. It's about Zain Radebe." Thandeka responded. "What about your friend?" her father interrogates her thinking. 

"Honestly, I helped him to secure the high position of the empire, if it wasn't for my presence, he might not have won the nomination fairly. I am at an age of wanting to be someone's wife and I would like an arranged marriage with him. His loyalty to our family is outstanding and his mastery in leadership comes with millions of currencies. The problem with Zain is that he is dating a citizen who has no knowledge of what we live for. What if she destroys our lives by ratting us out to government authorities? She was Dean's date at the gala dinner but suddenly she makes a move to date Zain? Think about it father, she is a threat to the legacy and that must be stopped." Thandeka said a mouthful to explain her father.

Mr. Vilakazi was taken a back from all of his daughter's words however, he understood the reasoning behind this. He shakes his head in agreement with his daughter and asked her a question. "Do you think Zain will follow suit to having an arranged marriage? Do you personally believe that his family will take this seriously? After all, that family doesn't operate in following the laws of mafia when it comes to the matters of their hearts." 

"I am certain that Mr. Baghat will consider our reasons for the success of our generational wealth." Thandeka encourages her father. " I see. I guess I shall set up a meeting with Idris to discuss this matter. Thank you for wise words my daughter. Truly I can believe that Zain will be the luckiest man in the world." said Mr. Vilakazi with a smile. Once he had left the scene, Thandeka decided to give herself a glass of wine to drink. She calls Mary to appear and thereafter said this to her, "Mary, I need you to reach out to Mr. Zakhele for a consultation." 

The servant was utterly surprised to who her master wants to see. She became nervous while standing which made Thandeka to become slightly annoyed. "Are you suddenly deaf?" she points it out. "Uhh.. Sorry Madam but why would we need Mr. Zakhele to be here?" Mary asked.  Thandeka begins to giggle and then turns to her servant to say, "Let's just say our challenge needs a spiritual guide on something." Mary was quiet from receiving that answer and left her master to be alone again. 

"Larona will never become a mother to Zain's child and be his wife. I deserve that man's heart and no living thing will come to light to strengthen their little bond. I've been quiet about my feelings for Zee for so long that i cannot take it anymore. I won't let a dusty bitch take what belongs to me. Zain will run back to me like old times. " Thandeka makes a declaration to herself.
