Chapter FORTY

When Zain spotted Larona from the mall, what interested him was seeing her entering a small medical place. She took some time being there which made him wonder what could be her problem. While he spies on Larona, she eventually got outside of the place and drove off.

This made Zain to start his car and follow her discreetly.
Eventually, he realized which street she stays from in a neighborhood, he ends up making U-turn to drive back to his place.

Immediately when he arrived at his place he received a call from Rex for an update. "Rex my man! Tell me what's happening?" Zain answered the called. " The first mission is accomplished." Rex responds to Zain. "Aweh my man. I knew I could trust you on that. How did Omer perform from this?" Zain asked.

"He almost shit on himself. It's as if the boy couldn't handle a small horror scene." Rex replied. "He'll get over it and grow from it." Zain commented. "I guess you are right Broski. Did you manage to locate where she stays?" Rex asked.
"By God's grace, I did. She lives a bit far from where I stay but I saw her leaving a medical building." Zain informs Rex while thinks about Larona's odd move.
"From the judgement of your eyes, do you think she's severely ill?" Rex asked.
"Well, Not really. It's just that her face seemed surprised as if she found out some bad news. As a married man, Rex if you saw your wife's behavior like Larona, what do you think could be a problem?" Zain asked.

"I wouldn't know my friend. I'd just think of supporting her journey without interrogating her especially if I see that she's not ready to speak about it." Rex answered. " That is truly a wise approach Broski." Zain compliments Rex's thought. 

"I also gave Dean a call to find out his state of mind. What I can tell you is that our enemy is shaken. He is still angry and does not want to back down as yet." Rex tips off Zain.
"As long as he slowly digests what he's going through and painfully feels it. We'll definitely drag this long." Zain firmly tells his friend. "What should my men and I do to his baby at this point? A relative of mine is currently taking care of him but we need to make a move before Dean catches up to find his son." Rex alerts Zain.

"Send Dean an anonymous message to  wait for my call. If he dares rebel against my order. The son will die and it will be recorded." Zain shares his instruction to Rex which leads the call conversation to conclude.

He comfortably sits on a couch and opens a can of cold beer. His mind wondered about how he will approach Larona without making her be afraid. He continues to drink and drink again. Beer after beer, he slowly gets drunk and then he couldn't take the patience from this situation anymore.
He was drunk enough that he walked outside of his place and slowly drives his car to go fetch her.

After 40 minutes of driving carefully, he spotted a young lady who's facial features resembles Larona's face. He stops his car beside her while she's walking which made her to stop and turns to his car. Zain presses a button so that his car window slides downwards in purpose of talking to her.

"Hi, I'm sorry to scare you. Can I speak to you for a moment? Please I won't take time." he humbly asks her.  The young lady was suspicious of this moment but eventually she allowed to hear him out. "Do you know a woman by the name of Larona Kent?" he asks her.

The young lady was surprised to hear the name and then said "Who are you to even ask about her?"

"I'll explain who I am if you take me to her." Zain proposes a deal with the young lady. The lady shook her head in disagreeing to what he said which made him roll his eyes and becomes impatient.

"The person I need to explain myself to is her and not yourself unfortunately. I'm talking to you right now because I can see the resemblance of her which clearly indicates that you are a close relative to her. You don't know who I am but your own cousin knows exactly who I am and what I'm capable of. Don't make me cause a scene unnecessary to force it out of you. Just tell me where she is. "
The lady was shocked from how Zain snapped at her and with that she starts to give him a piece of her mind,

" You are so arrogant and yet dumb to think that you will get what you want from talking to me like that Stranger! For your information, I want to correct that the person you are referring to, is definitely not my cousin but my big sister. How will I know if your intentions mean well with that kind of attitude? Ohh and by the way, drinking while driving in this kind of neighborhood will get you killed instantly. "

"WOW! Even your attitude is just like hers. I'm sorry that my words made you feel a sting miss." Zain said as he chuckles from what he was told. " You are so weird. Anyway, goodbye. " The lady proceeds to walk on side of the road to go home.

Zain slowly drives along to show that he is not leaving her alone which made her to stop walking once again and then looks back at Zain feeling annoyed.
"I will continue to be creepy if you are deliberately ignoring me." Zain let's her know.

"Okay fine! I'll get inside your car and direct you to my house. From now on you will only listen to what I say because I have strict religious parents that do not appreciate men like you creeping near the house at this time of night." the lady reasoned to Zain which made him happy that he'll be assisted.

They both went near the address of the house and stopped from a short distance away. The young lady walked until entering the yard and then Zain was patiently pleased that soon enough he will meet up with his princess.
