The date of cleansing arrives, and Laron was clothed in fabric that covers her entire body, except for her face. Group of unknown women were accompanying her to a place outside from their top-secret location. Outside, it looked like a forest. Small and clear streams of water flows into a natural pond. Larona feels her feet getting wet by those tiny streams as she walks towards the pond. The ladies gently take off her clothing until her naked body was exposed. She stood quietly and an older woman began to speak while sprinkles flower petals around Larona and the other woman from behind began to play a drum with her hands.
"Greetings our beloved angels from above. It is aunty Rose who is speaking, and I am here on behalf to introduce our chosen bride. One of your sons within our clan, Zain Radebe. Who is the son of Emelda and our late Zain Senior, has chosen to propose Larona Kent as the wife of the family. We ask for guidance from your spirits in heaven. We are also grateful for your teachings that you left us before passing away. Elders of the Baghat family who have died before us, we continue to salute the fruits of the life you built for this generation. Larona was nervous but prepared for how this ceremony unfolds. She was kindly instructed to dip her body inside the water. She slowly steps inside the water and one of the ladies gave her products to bath herself. The liquid foam she applied herself with smelled like cinnamon with a hint of aloe. After taking a bath she was given white towels and a gown to keep her warm. All the women step inside the house and Larona went for choosing the official wedding dress.
"Ms. Larona you may take your time, selecting the wedding dress. You are also allowed to make changes on the details of the dress design that you choose from." Aunty Rose kindly notifies her, and Larona was pleasantly surprised by this and her excitement for this wedding preparation was mind blowing. She took her time looking for the perfect dress until she sees this unique beauty.
It was a gleamy silk white mermaid dress with a gorgeous ruffle design from the bottom the dress that matches the white long cape that trails on the floor, containing black leopard prints. The way this dress was beautiful she immediately chose it, wondering how this look would complement African fashion.
The rest of her day was spent like a princess on her castle as she prepares this special time. On the hand, Zain was at another location but not from far to Larona's place. He was surrounded by married men who were older, and they all dressed in expensive suits. It was a gentlemen's party. He had completed his cleansing ceremony before sunrise which was a rule he had to respect for blessings. Close friends and uncles of his family congratulated him and soon enough Rex approaches Zain for a private talk.
"You made it my brother." They hugged it out and Zain said, "It's happening broski." Rex made a toast from their celebratory mood and said "I'm happy for you man. I believe that you and her, will live a beautiful life together. My friend, marriage is fun when you have a real one." Zain agrees with Rex and replies to him, "I can't wait to be her husband. There's more I want to do to treat my future wife with." Rex chuckles while understanding Zain's tease of words. "Don't abuse Larona's womb with your dirty craving. Bro. By the way, how did she pass the trial from your dad?" Rex mentioned.
"Her dress code was incorrect, and Idris made a fuss about it. She fought for this to pass irrespective of her small mistake." Zain explained to his best man. "I guess I can understand why you chose her after all this time." Rex replied. Zain began to reflect his experience with Larona and for a moment he had this to conclude the conversation,
"I saw my spirit in her from the moment we connected. She is truly the female version of me, and I love every bit of her existence."
