The following Monday arrived and Ryan entered the school doors with smiles from every guy he saw. The amount of praise he received that morning was a plenty. His arm felt like it would be torn off with the number of daps he exchanged. Thankfully, he found his friends shortly as they were seated on the couches in the school atrium. He approached with a cheeky grin, making a beeline to greet a special someone first, of course.
He sat on the couches in next to her, draping an arm around her shoulder and leaning in slightly. "Hey," he said with an unbearable smile. It was a simple one word greeting but all so powerful to the receiver and their witnesses.
A cute smile crept onto Rosé's face as she began to blush. Her hand was already placed upon Ryan's thigh as she responded with a honeyed, "Hi."
Finally, Ryan greeted the rest of the group as he usually did.
The interacts were so natural. It was like they'd been friends since forever. Only one person took note of the moment between Ryan and Rosé, and it was none other than Lisa. From the second she saw Rosé's eyes light up when Ryan approached, she sensed something between them. She didn't know what it was and she tried to shake the feeling, but something was definitely off.
"Ryan, you came at the perfect time. I was just telling everyone about the girl I had over this weekend," said Taehyung. "It was the wildest thing but I swear to god we were making out and I was feeling her up, right, but she had to use the bathroom suddenly so I was like ok, that's cool, go ahead. But dude, I kid you not, she was doing coke in there..."
As Taehyung continued his story, Ryan and Rosé were whispering and giggling in each other's ears. God knows they could've been talking about avocados and they'd giggle like it was the funniest thing ever. They were sitting a bit off to the side therefore they weren't disturbing Taehyung's story but Lisa, sat nearest to Rosé, couldn't help but become distracted.
She wasn't going to sit there in silence so she said, "Ok, what's going here? Why do I feel like I'm third wheeling?"
Ryan and Rosé stopped and fixed their attention on Lisa. She looked at them sternly, expecting an answer, but they were saved by the sound of the morning bell.
"Time for class," Ryan said with a shrug.
"Rosie." Lisa called but Rosé bit her lip nervously. Lisa's dead eye contact with her best friend wasn't disrupted by the shuffling of their friends around them but Rosé wasn't about to kiss and tell at that very moment.
"I'll tell you later," she said quickly as Ryan pulled her away.
"Bye, Lisa," he said before they walked into the crowd with his arm around still around her shoulders.
Suddenly, they heard the sound of someone colliding with another student. It was Jisoo who had accidentally walked into someone and dropped her books. Everyone but Ryan cracked a smile. His arm left Rosé's shoulder, making her smile drop, and he wanted to help Jisoo but Jennie rushed over before he could even take a step. The two girls snatched the books off the ground and Jisoo ran to class in embarrassment.
...
As first period began, it didn't stop the rumours from spreading like wildfire. Ryan and Rosé had became the talk of the school in less than 75 minutes.
When second period came, Lisa tried getting to drama class early to catch the IT couple together but she was disappointed to learn than they had already left. No need to worry though. Lisa eventually found them during lunch and planned to interrogate them. Except... she wasn't sure what to ask first.
