As we were near to her house, my heart started beating frantically. For the first time in my life, I felt the emotion called Nervousness. For the first time in my entire 30 years of life I was nervous. And the reason was HER not her family.
At her society gate, we were stopped and asked where we wanted to go. Of course, with two of our cars and five cars loaded with weaponed bodyguards, they would get suspicious.
Baba Sa told them and security guard led us to their house. May be, he was already told about our arrival.
As we stepped out of car, we saw Avantika's younger brothers running towards us.
By the time, they met each one of us, I went to instruct Eklavya, my bodyguard.
"Only 10 of them should be out and standing at quite good distance. This a society, so no weapons should be visible, hide them. The rest must be in car. There's no way we would scare the common people here......Understood?"
"Yes, Boss" He nodded and I went with my family.
As I nervously walked into Avantika's house, I was struck by how warm and inviting the atmosphere was. Avantika's entire family was gathered in the living room to meet us, and they all seemed genuinely happy to see us.
Avantika's father, Mr. Viren, was the first to greet us. He shook Baba's hand firmly, and gave him a warm smile.
"Welcome, Amarjit ji! We've heard so much about you. It's a pleasure to finally meet you in person."
"Welcome Prithvijit Beta" He said to me with a slight and warm smile.
I touched his feet and he blessed me.
Next, I met Avantika's Bdi Maa, who too blessed me with long life and exclaimed, "You're even more handsome than in photo!"
I kind of blushed, feeling a bit flustered at her motherly affection. Avantika's younger brothers and sister gave me a smile which I returned back but what irked me was her elder brothers, who were looking basically glaring at me. I just nodded at them and their wives nudged them slightly bringing them out of their trance.
"Don't get any ideas, Mr.Prithvijit" Adwait said sternly as he shook my hand.
"We will be keeping a close eye on you," Bhavesh added with a cold stare.
Eklavya tried to step between me and them but I stopped him showing my palm. I was also a brother, I could understand their emotions.
I smirked at them and said "I am always ready"
Only if they weren't her brothers and protective of her...I would have shown them who I am.
Avantika's uncles also greeted me warmly, and I felt an instant connection with them. It was clear that her family was incredibly close and welcoming, and I would be grateful to be a part of it.
We all sat on the couches. Their hall was spacious, with a dining table at the other side with a partition in between and may be beside dining table is the kitchen as the ladies came from their with snacks.
