Avantika's Pov

It was 11 o'clock at night, and five hours had passed since we returned from his place. I was sitting by the window in my room, engrossed in my ongoing novel, while Omaya was diligently working on her assignments. The view from the window was quite eerie, as the area was isolated and secluded, covered with dense trees. However, the dim lights outside no longer scared us, and we usually kept the curtains drawn.

Adjusting my pillow and the little blanket, I turned on the air conditioner and began to read my book

Adjusting my pillow and the little blanket, I turned on the air conditioner and began to read my book. But a part of my mind was still replaying all the moments I had shared with my fiancé throughout the day, which resulted in a blush on my face.

"Di, what do you think about bidding bye to Jiju and his family by meeting them at the airport?" Omaya's words must have been a relief for me if he hadn't asked me to meet him alone that day.

"Um...Who gave you this idea?" I hesitantly asked her because there was no chance she had overheard us.

"Amarjit Uncle put forth this idea in front of us, and Papa agreed, of course. We are family now, why wouldn't he agree?" She told me.

I nodded but a part of me was worried about how I would meet him alone and I didn't want to break the promise I had given.

The thought of meeting my fiancé alone at the airport made my heart race. I also knew that meeting his family at the airport was a significant gesture, and it would be rude to decline the invitation.

Should I talk to him about this?

I thought but wouldn't he think that I am not even capable to solve this much problem.

Yash

Yes, she is the only one who can help me in this. I picked up my phone to call her but stopped midway realising the time and she would be with Karan right now. I dropped the idea of calling her now but later tomorrow.

Lost in the captivating world of literature, I found my mind wandering to the secluded area outside. An inexplicable sense of unease lingered within me, as if a lurking shadow threatened to disrupt the tranquility. My heart whispered prayers for the safety of my loved ones, an unspoken plea echoing through the silence.

Unable to concentrate on the written word, I rose from the window seat and cautiously drew back the curtains. As I replaced the book on its shelf, my gaze drifted towards my phone, where headlines screamed the news of Prithvi's engagement. The articles labelled me as a 'mysterious girl,' their words echoing the unfounded accusations that had been relentlessly hurled my way.

'She must have lured him'  one comment sneered.

Of course, I'm multi-billionaire who ensnared a billionaire—bull shit!  I scoffed in my mind.
