We arrived at our destination in about half an hour.
He stopped in front of a movie theater.
"God, it's been so long since we saw a movie together, right?"
I said excitedly.
"That's why we are here,"
he replied with a smile.
He opened the car door for me.
"Being pretty sweet to your potential future wife, huh?"
I asked, raising my eyebrows.
"Why can't it be for my best friend,"
he said, clearing his throat.
"Why can't I remember any nice gestures like this from high school?"
I said while scratching my head, pretending to think hard.
"Yaaah, we are gonna be late for the show. Now let's go,"
he said and dragged me inside.
When we entered, someone offered me a nice little bouquet of tulips.
I was confused at first, but then Jaemin took the flowers from that person and personally offered them to me.
"Here, for you,"
I accepted it and was flustered by his gesture.
"Thanks,"
I said lowkey.
"So best friends are having formality between them. New to me,"
he said while looking away, pretending to be offended.
I looked up to him and said,
"No, I mean I like them."
Of course, I did because he surely remembered my favorites, and that's what made me feel really special.
Something I felt after a long time now.
He gave his brightest smile when I said those words.
He then grabbed my hand and said, "Let's go."
With that, we entered the hall, and it was all empty.
"Don't tell me you booked it all just for us,"
I said, clearly amazed.
"Well, you must flaunt when you are rich, you know,"
he said, proud of himself.
Which I knew wasn't really the case because I know he likes simplicity over riches.
"But still, it wasn't really necessary,"
I said, feeling a little uneasy.
He held my shoulders and made me turn to completely face him.
He let out a sigh and said,
"I know what I am doing y/n, and you deserve this. So please don't feel guilty about it. I am your best friend after all," he said, assuring me.
I nodded and gave him a sweet smile.
Then we went on to watch the movie, finally.

Jaemin's POV
Today I was finally going to meet my high school best friend and also the only girl I have loved till now.
I was so nervous when I was on my way to her house, thinking about how I was going to face her after so many years, especially after that incident.
But all my nervousness vanished when I saw her; she was smiling again and was as playful as before.
But I wondered if it was even real.
Anyway, I will try my best to give her everything I can and will never leave her side ever again now.
I played some of her favorite songs, and I could see her enjoying them, which really warmed my heart.
I also planned to give her favorite flowers, and it was more than successful.
After we entered the theater, I could see her flustered state, which I quite liked as long as she doesn't feel guilty.
Because she deserves the world, and I will willingly give her mine.
While we were watching the movie, I couldn't keep my eyes off her; after all, I saw her after so long.
She's the only girl who could manage to capture my heart.
I loved how she was enjoying it, and I felt more than content.

Y/N's POV
It was a cartoon movie, and I am glad he remembered my choices.
I was so happy to watch it together in peace.
When we came out, I said, sulking,
"it ended so quickly."
"Do you want to watch it again? Wait, let me get the tickets for the next show,"
he said while almost going to get the tickets.
I quickly went to grab his hand and dragged him towards the exit, grabbing the sleeves of his shirt.
He looked at me smiling brightly at my little action, finding me quite adorable.
I stopped when we got near his car, and I turned to him only to find him smiling like an idiot.
"I know I am pretty, but stop looking at me like that,"
I said shyly.
He cleared his throat, came near my face, and said,
"someone is being shy, huh?"
I looked up at him and pulled my tongue out, mocking him.
"Seems like someone has fallen for me enough to let go of their crush, who kept them single all these years,"
I said while playing with a strand of my hair.
He looked away, a chuckle left his mouth, and he looked back at me in disbelief.
"You know what, you are right,"
he said as his facial features relaxed.
The smirk I had a few seconds ago got replaced with a surprised expression and wide eyes.
"You... You did buy that, right?"
he said, laughing. This time he was successful in catching me off guard.
"N-no, it's nothing like that,"
I said as I looked away.
He smirked at my state, clearly enjoying it.
"Anyway, let's go to a nice restaurant. I am hungry."
With that, he got me into his car, and we took our leave.
