The sun barely shined down on the town of Forks, but when it did, everyone was outside. Well, everyone except for the Cullen family. Rose and I were supposed to go shopping, but when the sun began to rise, I was alerted by a text that our plans would have to be moved, which was fine with me. I knew what they were, which is one of the reasons they stick around me. I understand their disappearances, strange complexions, slightly faster movements and unusual breathing patterns. All greatly amuse me. Stuffing a dark teal towel into my tan tote bag, along with a small lunch and my book, I pull the handles together and swing them onto my shoulder. Grabbing my keys from a small bowl in my kitchen, I head out the door and to my car. Hopping into the front seat swinging my bag into the passenger one, I start the engine of my jeep, cautiously backing out of the driveway out onto the main road, allowing it to direct me towards the ocean. The dense forest soon enough began to clear up, showing glimpses of the ocean, patches turning into longer stretches of time, and before I knew it, I was turning into a small parking lot at the beach's end. Popping the door open after turning off the ignition, I clambered out of the car, clutching my tote and keys in my hand tightly.

Turning around and sighing happily, I took in the sight of the beach, the waves, and the Uley boys...playing an extremely aggressive game of soccer. Cool. Shifting my bag slightly higher onto my shoulder, I began my descent from the pathed pathway, down the rickety wood stairs, and out onto the shifting darker sand. Avoiding the clumps of emerald and pine green seaweed, I made my way closer to the shore line, not sparing another glance at the obnoxious noises to my left. After finding a suitable spot, not too close to the water, but far enough away from the stray groups of forks kids, I dropped my bag into the dense sand, reaching up to shift my hair into a comfortable position, breathing in the salty air. Reaching down, I extracted my towel, then fanning it out, I let it settle unevenly on the ground, plopping down onto the soft material soon after. Taking a moment to appreciate the view, I leaned back onto the palms of my hands, allowing my head to gently fall backwards, stretching out my neck lightly. Breathing in deeply, my eyes fluttered shut, before my peace was suddenly interrupted by a chorus of yelling. Directing my gaze to the source, I opened my eyes just in time to see a white and black blur land a few feet beside me, spraying me completely in sand. I let out a small and short shriek, squeezing my eyes shut, blocking any sand from entering them. Letting out a huff, I peeled my eyes open, my arms stiff out in front of me, still in slight shock, a scowl on my lips. Upon hearing deep chuckles slowly approaching me, I sharply averted my eyes, landing on the group of tall, tan and muscular boys. Oh great.
