Pacing down the edge of the lake, leaning from side to side in a playfully dark manner, I wait, knowing Etho would come out soon. I wave at Martyn and Scott as they stand on their islands just above the coral reefs, and they wave back, albeit hesitantly.

"Y/N?" I grin, spinning to meet his heterochromic gaze.

"Etho! Lovely to see you again!" He takes a step back as I take a few forward, eyes darting to the weapon strapped to my waist. "Oh come on now, I'm not here to hurt you! I just wanna talk, maybe even offer you an opportunity."

"Look, I know you turned red after you saved me from that arrow, but that was your choice-"

"Oh silly, that's in the past. I'm talking about the future! Our future, away from all those pesky people you surround yourself with." I see his mask pull down slightly as he frowns.

"What're you-."

"Don't tell me you actually enjoy being belittled by Cleo, plus there's Scar and, I know Bdubs looks up to you, but come on, I mean he still sides with his mother. And the rest of T.I.E.S," I laugh, "don't even get me started on how much they're dragging down your potential."

"What're you insinuating Y/N?" He questions cautiously.

"I thought you'd never ask." I begin to pace around him, smiling maliciously.

"Right here, right now. I put the offer out. I don't wanna chase you down but I know you see it!" I grab his arms, holding him both our arms lengths away, leaning back slightly. "You run with me, and I can cut you free." I pull him close. "Out of the drudgery and walls you keep in." Spinning away, I gesture towards the tower of T.I.E.S. "So trade that typical," I pull out my clock, gesturing now to the red color it glows, "for something colorful. And if it's crazy, live a little crazy." I place it back in my pocket, swiftly jumping onto a nearby large rock. "You can play it sensible, a king of conventional! Or you can risk it all and see." I jump onto a larger rock, now towering above him as he watches my movements.

"Don't you wanna get away from the same old part you gotta play?" I say, referring to his family. "'Cause I got what you need, so come with me and take the ride...It'll take you to the other side!" I jump down, landing safely. "'Cause you can do like you do," I point to him, "Or you can do like me," I gesture to myself. "Stay in the cage, or you'll finally take the key!" I pull out my sword, tossing it from hand to hand. "Oh, damn, suddenly you're free to fly! It'll take you to the other side!" Lastly, I point the tip to his chest, smiling widely. He pushes the blade away.

"Okay, my friend, you want to cut me in." I grin, keeping a hold of my sword. "Well, I hate to tell you, but it just won't happen." My smile falters. "So thanks, but no. I think I'm good to go, 'Cause I quite enjoy the life you say I'm trapped in." He makes air quotations at his latter words, slowly walking backwards to the tower, myself following. "Now I admire you, and that whole show you do. You're onto something, really it's something!" He shrugs. "But I live among the swells, and we don't pick up rocket shells. I'll have to leave that up to you..." He jumps onto a sizable rock, mimicking my earlier actions.

"Don't you know that I'm okay with this uptown part I get to play! 'Cause I got what I need," gestures behind him, towards the cobblestone tower, and the general direction of the Clockers, "and I don't want to take the ride. I don't need to see the other side." He jumps down, coming up in front of me. "So go and do like you do, I'm good to do like me! Ain't in a cage, so I don't need to take the key." He circles behind me, and I follow, watching him continue to face me. "Oh, damn, can't you see I'm doing fine? I don't need to see the other side." He turns, starting to walk away.

"Now is this really how you like to spend your days?" He stops, turning his head to see me from his peripheral vision. "TNT and misery, dinners and games?" He spins around to face me fully, myself walking semi closer, still clutching the hilt of my sword.

"If I were mixed up with you? I'd be the talk of the server. Disgraced and disowned, another one of the reds."

"But you would finally live a little, finally laugh a little! Just let me give you the freedom to dream and it'll wake you up and cure your aching." He looks away, concentration and thinking written on the uncovered parts of his face. "Take your walls and start 'em breaking." I turn, shrugging, beginning to walk the other way. "Now that's a deal that seems worth taking!" I stop a few feet away. "But I guess I'll leave that up to you..."

Path 1

"Well, it's intriguing, but to go would cost me greatly." He turns to face me fully. "So what percentage of this show would I be taking?" I laugh.

"Well, fair enough, you'd want a piece of all the action! I'd give you seven, we could shake and make it happen." I extend my hand. He doesn't flinch.

"I wasn't born this morning, eighteen would be just fine." I laugh more manically and louder, retracing my hand.

"Why not just go ahead and ask for nickels on the dime?" He crosses his arms over his chest.

"Fifteen."

"I'd do eight."

"Twelve."

"Hmm, maybe nine."

"Ten." I study his face, looking down at his singular outstretched hand for a moment, and then I take it, shaking it firmly, a smile growing on my face. I pull him closer to me, our voices in sync.

"Don't you wanna get away?" His voice takes lead, "to a whole new," our voices join up again, "part you're gonna play!"

"'Cause I got what you need, so come with me and take the ride." I exclaim, jumping back onto a high boulder.

"To the other side." He joins, jumping up onto a somewhat smaller rock.

"So if you do like I do." I say, swinging my sword.

"So if you do like me." He voices.

"Forget the cage, 'cause we know how to make the key!" We both jump back to the grassy ground, our voices finding sync. "Oh, damn! Suddenly we're free to fly. We're going to the other side."

"So if you do like I do."

"To the other side." My voice replies, slightly smaller.

"So if you do like me."

"Going to the other side." I reply again.

"'Cause if we do we're going to the other side!" We join up one last time. "We're going to the other side."

Path 2

I hear a deep sigh.

"I'm sorry Y/N. But I can't leave either of my families." I turn, facing him. "I hope you'll understand. Maybe when I turn red, not by choice, we can team up, but until then, you'll just have to see me as one of your many targets." He nods to me, not waiting for a response, walking towards his house. I grip my sword with a vise grip, anger flooding my senses. And then, all sense and reasoning leaves me, sword drops to the ground with a soft thud as my hands twist around to find my bow, swiftly knocking an arrow to it and aiming. Releasing it to pierce right through his back, near his heart. Staining the ground below him with bright red, a wicked smile on my lips, and insanity in my E/C eyes.
