Chapter 77
Aria's POV:
We stood there, staring at each other.
"Action!" The director yelled, breaking me from my thoughts. I said my lines, almost robotically romantic as I could. I hope no one could tell how rattled I was from what happened.
Jason leaned in, whispering in my ear,
"Do you want me to tell them you need five minutes?" His breath was hot in my ear but it was low and protective. I shook my head no, as I didn't want anymore heat than I was already getting.
"No, it's fine," I whisper as he nods, backs up and starts saying his lines. I lightly smile. I could listen to him all day.
We finish the scene without a hitch. The director comes up to me.
"I meant what I said, if your friend comes back, you're done."
The words hang in the air. I really should talk to Justin, try to get him to understand.
*Later*
I knock on Justin's hotel door. It didn't take him a second to open it.
"You can't come on set anymore," I said as soon as he opened the door.
"What? Why?" He asked, as if he had no idea. I rolled my eyes.
"Don't come back," I said and left.
