Chapter 30: The King of the Abyss

"Wait...so we're going through that thing?" interrupted Cody. "Doesn't sound safe to me. Maybe we should take some other route."

"The door's opening seems to make us stronger," remarked Evangeline.

"Something suspicious is behind that," said Jahnavi.

"Let's risk this," suggested Iris.

"Ya," agreed Allison.

"You people stay here...well maybe except for Allison and Iris," asserted Evangeline and Jahnavi.

"Uhh you will be responsible for all of this," remarked Allison.

"Yea, we know," said Jahnavi and Evangeline together.

Flunging the door open, the girls dashed towards the light.

"Well it's brighter than I expected," mumbled Iris, shielding her eyes.

"My veins finally stopped glowing. But what was that for?" pondered Evangeline.

"Hahaha...so I guess you all are finally confused...." spoke the king, who was slowly coming towards their direction.

"Bruh, don't creep up like that," sighed Iris.

"What do YOU want," snapped Jahnavi.

"You," said the King, smirking.

"Creepy," exclaimed both Allison and Iris.

"What??" said Jahnavi while staring at Evangeline, who was having a dirty-minded moment.

"And those two," continued the King, pointing at Evangeline and Allison.

"Uhh no bye I'm out of here," commented Allison, edging toward the empty doorway.

"You will stay," shouted Evangeline and Jahnavi.

Convinced by Evangeline and Jahnavi, the girls forced the king to tell them what was going on.

"You all are special people," said the King, suffocated.

"So are you saying that Iris is not special?" said Evangeline, rolling her eyes.

"No, each of you is special in your way, but you three are a different kind of special," added the King.

"Oh yeah, when I don't have anything special," sang Evangeline.

"I should be the one saying that," grinned Iris.

"I don't trust this guy," remarked Jahnavi.

"Yeah, you shouldn't trust strangers," said Allison, adding more of her wise talk.

"Stranger danger," sighed Evangeline.

But suddenly, in a gust of wind, Allison, Evangeline, Iris, and Jahnavi were blown to the other side of the universe.

"What the heck just happened?" exclaimed Evangeline.

"The King's actions," sighed Jahnavi.

"Wow," exclaimed both Allison and Iris.

"I gave you all a chance, but you all have denied it," said the King's voice suddenly.

"What chance? A chance to cupid?" laughed Jahnavi.

"Aghh not that song again," said Evangeline, covering her ears.

"A chance to know who you are and to live. Now it is time for you all to die," said the King dramatically.

"Depressed people are so happy right now," sighed Allison. "I bet Evangeline would be so happy that she can go to heaven with Lee Know."

"One of you will be sacrificed. The others will eat each other," explained the King.

"That's depressing, but would never happen to us," said Jahnavi, kicking the King in the face.

"Stab her!" shouted the King.

Splat. Blood dripped onto the ground...but it was not Jahnavi's blood. It was somebody else's.
