Meanwhile, when Jonas, Shinkai, and Iris were in the car, the boys decided to be zesty. After witnessing them making out and kissing several times, Iris couldn't take it anymore.
"YOU ALL GET OUT OF THE CAR, GRUMPY OLD MAN AND PROFESSOR ASPARAGUS!" shouted Iris.
Ignoring Iris, Jonas flirted more, but in his mind, he was thinking of someone else.
"You will only love me," said Jonas to Shinkai.
"Mhm," nodded Shinkai in agreement.
"哎呀, 太吓人了," said Iris while covering her ears.
Translation: "Aiya, too scary."
"你给我闭嘴, 混蛋," shouted Jonas in opposition.
Translation: "You shut up, Censored message."
"Why should I?" questioned Iris mockingly.
"What are we going to do next? Oops...I think we ditched the others...." said Shinkai
"Yeah, bruh," said Iris, pondering.
"Wesley will be so good at deciding this," said Shinkai, sighing.
"We should all go back," decided Jonas.
"Okay, darling," said Shinkai in agreement.
"IDC honestly," said Iris, who was slowly giving in.
Commanding their driver to drive them back, they were almost to their destination.
"Wait, I think we're forgetting something," Iris thought aloud.
"THE GIRLS," exclaimed Shinkai and Jonas together.
"Bruh, you stupid boys are giving me distractions," said Iris, slapping her forehead.
"Says the one who is stupid here," mumbled Jonas.
"You're more stupid," Iris snapped.
"You're younger," Jonas pointed out.
"Stop with the fight, guys," Shinkai protested.
"Fine, but your stupid husband doesn't realize that younger does not mean more stupid. If he had any brain, he would know that. Also, why should I listen to a grumpy old man who isn't helping at all," Iris defended.
Having emotional damage and admitting defeat, Shinkai saw a lost item of Merrick's from far away: his toothbrush. It was lying right outside a white and ominous-looking building. The three of them remembered the many times when they drove past this building and questioned its existence.
"Wait, they might be there," said Shinkai with Jonas nodding in agreement.
"Let's go check," decided Jonas, with Iris finally agreeing, but having no opinion.
"WAIT GUYS, it might be a trap," yelped Jonas.
"We must help them no matter what," said Shinkai boldly.
"Mhm, yes Shinkai, you're finally making sense for the first time ever," agreed Iris.
"No, I'm not risking it. I don't even care about them anyway."
"Okay, then you can just walk back to school and play basketball with the thieves I guess," mocked Iris.
"Whether you like them or not, you're coming with us, baby," insisted Shinkai.
"Fine," muttered Jonas.
