Chapter 31: Sacrifice

"...Evangeline...why...?" stuttered Iris.

"Why are you so stupid!!! I was going to dodge it!" cried Jahnavi.

"Uhh suicidal thoughts, why are you all so—" started Allison, but was interrupted by a hissing sound. They whirled around to see the King turn into a cobra.

"Give me her blood...now...." hissed the demonic King of the Abyss.

"Come and catch us!" challenged the girls.

"We're acting stupid standing here and doing nothing," exclaimed Shinkai.

"We're already stupid deciding to come here," groaned Cody.

"We're always stupid," said Milo.

"And we're out of food," said Jonas.

"We don't need food. We need blood since we're vampires," joked Shinkai.

"Spinning is fun," murmured Milo.

"What if I tell you that you all are really vampires?" said a voice behind them.

" 'Are you into superstition?' " quoted Cody.

"Can't be another Dark Moon moment," snickered Jonas.

"Come with me," answered the voice.

"We can't see you," exclaimed the boys.

"You're in your own delusion. Open your eyes...open...." said the voice, slowly fading away.

"He's fast," gasped Jahnavi, running.

"As expected. He's a snake, so what do you expect?" answered Allison while carrying Evangeline.

"But not faster than us," laughed Jahnavi.

"We need help," said Iris, looking around wildly. "Oh look, there's a horse over there," she said, pointing to a white horse grazing nearby.

"Great, put Evangeline on first then," advised Jahnavi.

"Yes obviously, and I believe the horse's coat will become red...in no time," sighed Allison, glancing at the cobra from afar.

"We must kill him," said the determined Jahnavi.

"How?"

"Er...I don't know."

"Exactly! And since we don't know what he wanted to tell us yet, we shouldn't kill him," concluded Jahnavi.

"Agreed," said Iris.

"Wake up...from the lies in your minds...." said the voice hauntingly.

"We need to let go of these voices," said Shinkai as he covered his ears and slipped into delusion.

"WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON?" screamed the terrified Milo, also covering his ears.

"Life," answered Shinkai simply, but, just like the others, he too was being tortured by the voices and ghosts roaming around.

Suddenly, it seemed like they had traveled to another universe; there they all lay in the vines.

"Ughh...my butt hurts..." moaned Jonas.

"Aiyo chill bro," snapped Cody.

"Aiya it's fine," said Shinkai while cleaning himself up.

"Aaaahhhh spinning is fun," mumbled the shaking Milo.

"Does someone want to help me stand up?" moaned Jonas.

"No," replied everyone else.

"Does anyone want to have the night with me?"

"We reject your proposal," replied Shinkai.

"I'm tired, we should sleep," suggested Milo, already snoring.

"No, it's literally 3 PM," Cody pointed out.

"Hey, Shinkai, want to sleep with me?" asked Jonas zestily.

"No thanks," responded Shinkai, embarrassed by the question.

"Want to have kids?" smirked Jonas.

"Umm...I'm ok," replied Shinkai, who regretted that he was sitting next to Jonas in Latin class. "I reject your proposal."

Note: Jonas asked Shinkai the last two questions here on February 27th in Latin class.

"Chill bro, this is on record," said Cody as he held up Milo's watch, which was recording.
