Everyone stared down into the dark hole, unable to process what had just happened.
"We can only hope that she is okay right now," said Milo unemotionally.
"Yeah, sure, like someone could survive after jumping off the edge of an abyss," snorted Jahnavi.
"We will have to bury her when we find her," said Allison.
"We all forgot about the investigation behind the corpses...." reminded Shinkai.
"Oops, mea culpa," said Iris for the 100th time of the day, even though it wasn't her fault. "Should we all ditch the plan of finding Evangeline?" she asked.
"Why do I feel like there's something suspicious behind this?" wondered Milo, exchanging a glance with Jonas.
"Maybe," said Iris plainly. "Client confidentiality"
"Mhm, okay sure," said Allison and Jahnavi simultaneously and suspiciously.
"Guys, what're we gonna do?" interrupted Cody. "...try to find Evangeline...or continue the investigation?"
"Let's continue the investigation; we don't have much time to waste," said Allison, business-like as always.
"We should," said Jonas.
"We're not going to look for Evangeline?" cried Jahnavi. "She's our friend!"
"We don't even know if she's alive," reminded Allison. "Most people don't survive after falling into an abyss."
"Why was it even here?" wondered Iris. "I feel like it just appeared there, waiting for one of us, or all of us, to fall in."
They all glanced at one another uneasily, realizing what Iris just said.
"Well, I'm staying away from that thing," commented Cody, edging away from the gaping hole.
"And something is definitely behind the corpses...." shuddered Iris. "Their body parts are slowly turning into a solid statue...or more like a stone."
"That was what I had been thinking too. But why?" thought Cody and Jahnavi.
As she touched the corpse, Jahnavi quickly leaped back, yelling, "AAAH! IT'S TOO HOT!"
"The corpse is so rizzed up that it's too good for Jahnavi," smirked Cody.
"For real," joked Jonas, touching the corpse himself. "But that's not possible...." he said, puzzled.
"How could it not be possible?" snickered Allison.
"Because this life is full of fairy tales," sang Shinkai.

"Hmm, very suspicious...I wonder if they are cursed or something," wondered Cody and Jahnavi.
"Everything is cursed," sighed Iris.
"Mind your own business" said Cody, rolling his eyes.
"So...are we gonna lug this thing back to school or whatever?" asked Jonas.
"What does lug mean?" questioned Cody.
"Jonas' comprehension is beyond measure," sighed Jahnavi.
"So annoying!" exclaimed Shinkai and Milo.

"Sped," scoffed Jonas.
"你的 brain 不 work," snorted Iris. " 'Lug' means to carry something."

"NO QUOTES IN CHINGLISH!!! But still, simple knowledge guys," reasoned Allison.
"Shut up you all!" said Milo.
"Speechless, wordless, I don't need your kindness," sang Shinkai.

"Shinkai should be the one shutting up with his songs, Shinkai," commented Jonas rudely.
"You also shut up," snapped Iris. "You're all too loud."
"Silent crying," sang Shinkai.

"AAGHH not that song again," said the frustrated Iris, who secretly liked the song herself.
"GUYS, STOP BEING OBSESSED WITH STRAY KIDS SONGS AND FOCUS!" shouted Allison, exasperated.
"Bro chill Allison, we don't know what to do," yelped Cody.
"Everyone here should be aware of the dangerous particles," reminded Milo, thinking of their physics lesson.
"Anyways, maybe Milo, Allison, Jonas, and Cody should explore the abyss, while Iris, Shinkai, and I will search for clues near the bodies," suggested Jahnavi, eager to avoid any physics.
"Why should I be with the boys again?" protested Allison.
"I trust that you will discipline them," answered Jahnavi calmly.
"I'm tired," whined Allison, who usually slept at least 10 hours per day. "I will refuse no matter what."
"Pweeeeseee," begged Jahnavi.
"Since you suggested the idea, you should be with the boys," debated Allison.
"I already am," objected Jahnavi.
"But I have the annoying ones," complained Allison.
Note: Not true because all the boys are annoying
"Oh my God! Fine, Cody, Jonas, and I will explore the abyss," decided Jahnavi.
"What will I do then?" asked the confused Iris.
"You, Shinkai, and I can explore the bodies," responded Allison.
"Milo, keep a watch out," added Jahnavi.
"Can I come with you?" asked Milo.
"No," persisted Jahnavi.
"I'm not that stupid," said Milo, but everyone ignored him.
"Sure buddy," snickered Cody.
"Split into your groups and start your investigation," ordered Jahnavi.
"Where do we even start looking in the abyss?" complained the impatient Cody.
"Let's keep walking down, we need to be careful though," whispered Jahnavi."Are we even trying to find Evangeline or explore this place?"
"Bruh, imagine not knowing your direction—Hey what is that?" Jonas paused for a second.
"I don't know. Is that a flag?" replied Jahnavi.
"HOLD ON—HOLY JESUS IT'S A NAZI'S FLAG," screamed Cody, aghast.
"Cody no swearing in the name of Jesus—NO WAY—NO WAY IT'S THEM," gasped Jonas.
"THEN WHAT'S THAT THINGY WITH WHITE, RED, AND BLUE??" inquired Jahnavi.
"RUSSIA," shrieked Jonas and Cody together.
"Wait no, why is there a red star surrounded by blue?" said Jonas.
"OMG, North Korea," screamed Jahnavi.
"And isn't that the face of Al-Qaeda?" gasped Cody.
"YOU MEAN THE GROUP WITH OSAMA BIN LADEN?" exclaimed Jonas.
"OMG WHAT THE FORK IS HAPPENING? THIS IS SO FREAKING COOL!" shouted the excited Jahnavi, clapping her hands.
"BUT WHAT IS THIS NATION?" they all screamed together.
