"What happened?" said Jahnavi, who was choking on gunpowder.

"Everything was destroyed," explained Iris. "Like my life," she added.

"And she's gone," said the mage quietly.

"Who??" acquired everyone.

"Your friend—" said the mage. "But only her eyes," he added quickly.

"What?" inquired the confused Milo

"She sacrificed her eyes for that—?" gasped Iris

"Her eyes? So she is blind?" mocked Jonas
"Yes..." murmured the mage while pulling out his magical crystal ball.

The image that appeared was Evangeline, who was bloody all over, with bloody tears dripping down her cheeks.

"Is she dead right now?" questioned the uninterested but excited Jonas.

"No, she is not," replied the mage, stowing the crystal ball back into his pocket.

"Okay, that's a relief, but where is she?" questioned Jahnavi.

"She will find you when the time comes," came the unsatisfactory reply.

"OMG Evangeline, stop ditching us," exclaimed Jahnavi, annoyed.

"Well she must be up to something," said Iris, standing up for Evangeline.

"She shouldn't have ditched us," replied Allison.

"Sorry people, I had to do what I ought to do," said Evangeline, throwing her hands up.

"Your eyes—" gasped everyone.

"Yes," said Evangeline, who seemed to be a changed person with her eyes blindfolded.

"Are you blind???!" exclaimed Jahnavi.

"Only temporarily," replied Evangeline quickly. "I know the way back home,"she added, trying to bring up another topic.

"No, you stay here right now and tell us what happened," said Jahnavi, who was frowning.

"I'm sorry, it's going to rain anytime," said Evangeline while walking to the door that leads them back.

"NO—come back," yelled Jahnavi, chasing after Evangeline.

But it was too late again. The door shut. Evangeline was gone again.
