Chapter 31: The Curse

"AAAHHH MY HEAD HURTS!" screamed Evangeline, clutching her head. Black tears came falling down from her cheeks.

"We need to kill the king first," advised Allison.

"But she might die here. NOW!" yelled Jahnavi.

"Shut up everyone. It's too loud. Let's just get to safety for now," said Iris.

"Alright let's hide here," whispered Jahnavi.

"Okay, but why are her tears black?"

"Apparently it happens if you rub your eyes too much,"

"Okay, she has some tissues in her pocket," Iris observed.

As Evangeline rubbed tears from her face, her head started bleeding randomly.

"EEEE," shrieked Jahnavi.

"Uhh the wound is too big. We can't save her by ourselves since I wouldn't want to take

off her clothes," said the disgusted Allison.

"We don't have a doctor here," sighed Jahnavi. "Are you all good at biology?"

"Uhh I learned it before yes," said Iris. "But I forgot most of the things I've learned."
"Okay, do you remember dancing mushrooms?" inquired Jahnavi.

"No, but Evangeline does."

"That's not helpful at all."

"I know, so shut up please."

"We can use eucalyptus or aloe vera!" popped in Allison.

"And we can use a doctor for real," laughed Iris.

"Okay. We can use Evangeline's watch to track down where a nearby doctor is at, and see her messages with Shinkai...teehee..." giggled Jahnavi.

"Oooh, okay," laughed Allison.

"But we need to stay on track," asserted Iris.

"Then what should we do???" asked Jahnavi.

Suddenly, sounds came out from the bushes. "What is it?"

"It'll just take a second...."

"NO, I'm not interested anyway."
"Sureee, Allison."

"DOH! There's no internet," remembered Jahnavi, facepalming herself.

Note: For y'all who haven't watched The Simpsons, "Doh" is Homer Simpson's famous exclamation.

"Her watch is dead, and it's no use since she's poisoned," said Iris, shaking her head.

"OWWWW," groaned Evangeline.

"Oops—"

"Okay, we need another shirt," said Allison.

"Guys, I found an aloe vera plant," remarked Jahnavi, sprinting from the king's backyard,

avoiding the grenades and vines.

"Alright, I will put the aloe vera on her wound and head,"

"But her hair..."

"Um, we should find where the wound on her head is first," Iris pointed out as she

searched through Evangeline's hair.

"I found it!" exclaimed Jahnavi

"I feel possessed," blurted Cody, can't feel his arms.

"We need to call a mage," suggested Shinkai.

"How did you know that there's a mage and it exists??" inquired Jonas.

"I don't know. It just blurted out of me," answered Shinkai.

"There's a sign that beholds the mage's sign... a wizard hat. Maybe we should go there and seek help," said the serious Milo.

"I feel like...fainting," remarked Milo.

"We're almost there," said Shinkai.

But it was too late. Due to dehydration and dizziness, the boys collapsed in front of the

mage's house.
