Chapter 18: Blood Cravings

"Something feels suspicious about this tunnel—and how we got beneath the Earth after just leaning on the wall," commented Iris.

"Mhm, and I'm pretty sure that everything will explode in less than 5 minutes up there," added Evangeline.

"OH NO, THEN EVERYONE ELSE WILL DIE!" gasped Jahnavi.

"Who cares about their existence anyways," said Allison, rather insensitive at this moment.

"I hear something far beyond," said Iris.

"Me too, let's race there," added Allison.

"Be careful though," Evangeline said, cautiously.

Both of them dashed to the "light" that they saw, Allison arrived first (as expected), but unfortunately bumped into a person, falling on him.

"WOAH WATCH WHERE YOU'RE GOING," said Allison, who tripped on the mysterious person.

"Allison, you good?" asked the girls, with a worried look. "Who are you?" they added.

Lighting up her last match, Jahnavi gasped, saying, "OMG, IT'S MILO—IS HE OKAY?".

"As you can see clearly, he is not. He is very unconscious now and...bloody," cried Iris.

"Allison, you have blood over your shirt," exclaimed Evangeline, helping Allison get up.

"Ew this is so disgusting. Thank goodness I'm not wearing my white tee today," snorted Allison as zipped up her navy blue jacket to cover up the stain of her pink tee.

"Anyways—we have to help Milo," reminded Iris and Jahnavi, who were trying to stop Evangeline and Allison from starting another conversation.

"He seems to be bleeding a lot. Like his forehead has a bad cut," said Evangeline, very worried.

"We need to stop the blood from flowing first," reminded Allison and Iris.

"Bro, you're not supposed to stop the blood from flowing, you have to stop it from bleeding," answered Jahnavi.

"Heh? My biology can't biology," said Evangeline, confused.

"What should we use?" acquired Jahnavi.

"I can rip out my shirt!" suggested Evangeline.

"That's...so weird, Evangeline," said Iris.

"Safety is always first," Evangeline reminded her.

"It's not that important," said Jahnavi.

"I hope you have something under there," hinted Shinkai, suddenly appearing out of the gloom.

"Heh, I'm kind of wondering what is under there," agreed the dirty-minded Jonas.

"SHINKAI, JONAS??? HOW ARE YOU HERE? I THOUGHT YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO GO TO THE OTHER DIRECTION!" screamed Iris, very disturbed by their unexpected arrival.

"I was, but it seems like that it's a dead end for that—" explained Shinkai.

"Okay, since you boys are here, you can help Milo, 'cause I bet he was looking for you guys," said Allison.

"Guys, I think it's better to do what Evangeline suggested," said Jonas, ignoring Allison.

"Yeah but we're using Baxter's shirt, not hers," demanded Jahnavi.

"What...okay, but you close your eyes otherwise...." warned Baxter, seeing Allison with a slipper in her hand.

"Ha, I'm not scared," chuckled Jonas. Then Allison picked up her backup tennis racquet in a forehand position...which the girls questioned a lot about.

"Okay, we'll turn away," said Shinkai, having both hands up and turning away.

"Good," said Evangeline, ripping off her inner shirt, and leaving herself with her jacket.

"All good now," said Evangeline, who finished bandaging Milo and slapping his cheeks.

"AH, WHY IS IT SO BRIGHT!" yelped Milo, who woke up from the sudden explosion upstairs, not from Evangeline's slap.

"Tell us how to get back to school!" growled Allison impatiently.

"That's not the point right now...since everything just exploded up there..." sighed Iris.

"We can still go up and check," said Jonas and Shinkai, ignoring the risk.

"I'll go with you," said Evangeline.

"Me too," added Jahnavi.

"We should all go up then I guess," said Allison, still disturbed.

"Sure," agreed Iris, giving no opinion.

Milo, who led and told everyone what happened with the rest of the class, exaggerated in his speech.

"We...found...a...dead...body..." announced Milo.
